Draenei… then Tauren, then Worgen, then Vulpera, then Panda… no one knows how to hunt better than an animal. 
I go by stance when firing. I feel like Orc is the Best IMO.

Blood Elves because we are way more beautiful than anyone else.

Any elf makes the best MM/bow-based hunter. Just that fantasy elf-ranger aesthetic.
For guns? Dwarves, goblins
Also partial to Forsaken hunters because of the old SKELETON ARCHER trope
Night Elves naturally or any elf in general. Depending on the theme in a generic sense, Humans/Worgens, dwarves, Goblins.
Its just matter of perspective really, I just find this to be very natural for those races to be innately gun/bow/crossbow users and could tend to use pets as well over any other race without question.
Undead by far. SO pretty
For marks, specifically, I’d say blood elf or void elf. Be like one of them Tolkien elf rangers.
For Beast Mastery, I’d say night elf due to their ties to nature and ability to blend in with their surroundings.
For the revamped survival… uhh… probably something bulky like a tauren or a male draenei. Orcs could work, I guess, I just don’t think of orcs as the types to throw traps around as opposed to murdering something with their own fists.
My ranking of races for hunters by spec…
Survival: Mag’har Orc or Highmountain Tauren
Beastmaster: Gnome (with mechanical pets), Dwarf, or Night Elf
Marksman: Night Elf, Blood Elf, Void Elf… Darkfallen customizations for bonus points…

Female Night Elf, especially when pvp wasnt a choice like now. Ive been RP’ing my Elf for over a decade, even have her photo in a folder with rl family ones haha (just a couple, Im not weird 
I think they are elegant, and I like how the females were the protectors.

Alliance wise…
My favorite is wogen. Just for the feralness to it. Werewolf, with wolves for pets, on a wolf mount, and a wolf mini pet. I am my own pack.
I also have a dark iron dwarf hunter, with double lava red corehounds, in a fiery / lava trangmog. Lava mount, lava pets. Really good looking effect.
While not my favorite, mechagnome, with robotic rabbits for pets makes me smile. The rabbits animations are really cool. matches well with any mechanical mount / gun / mini pet.
I also have a void elf hunter, not sure what I was going to do with him as of. Maybe some wind serpents. There are also some pets on argus that have void effects on their skin after taming.
Horde Wise…
Undead hunter, all day. the BFA warfront undercity mail armor set is perfect. Undead pets are plentiful (mine uses undead wind serpents, their wings have this black ghostly glow to them). Undead mounts as well. This race just writes itself into hunters now.
My next favorite would be my Blackrock Mag’har Orc, he uses a scared black wolf from legion. In their heritage armor. Finding a matching weapon was a pain, but I did.
After that would be my Vulpera hunter. I was originally going to go snakes with this race and play into their desert vibe, but I found a black winged ravager that looks a lot more savage. This race also wins for racial, just for the second hearthstone, set it ANYWHERE, and recall, as well as 8 more bag slots for my hoarding needs.
Lastly, is my Zandalari Troll. with Direhorns. The BFA raptor model works well too. I really like how the BFA golden Aztec looking armor is on him as well.
Mind you all of those I have are beastmastery. Sometimes Survival. I really don’t jive with marksmen spec, I hate not having a pet. I’d roll each race, see how their animations look then decide as far as MM goes.
