What do you think death is?

So Matthew 25:46 out of context trumps Matthew 25:31-46 where it is clearly stated that The Son of Man will say to those who had feed the hungry, given drink to the thirsty, clothed those who were in need of clothing, invited the stranger in, looked after the sick, and visited those in prison, though they were of the least of his people: “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world”.

And to those who had neglected to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, invite in the stranger, clothe those who were in need of clothing, look after the sick, and visited those in prison “will go away to eternal punishment” …

Nothing about faith in this chapter, everything about good works done to “the least of these brothers and sisters of mine” (these brothers and sisters of mine being “All the nations gathered before him”).
Also in Luke “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” … And who is your neighbor?

Obviously, many other parts of the New Testament (especially those written longest after His death, i.e. John) speak about faith being paramount, but one chapter can’t simply cancel another. … Or can it?
That was the point of my original post, even within any one of the religions there are disputes about what gets you an afterlife (good reincarnation, whatever) when you take all of the segmented parts of all the religions and beliefs you can’t even make up something that someone doesn’t already believe; and none of them have any bases other than “I just think so” or “ someone once wrote that”.
