Same thing I’ve thought for 15 years. Open world PvP is largely a myth (esperially in Classit btw) promulated by very selective nostalgia. In reality it’s lowbies being continuously ganked by psychopathogical max level characters. To enter play with warwode on is sheer idiocy, always has been always will be. You simply won’t find world pvp at level in a satisfying way.
All it took for me was discovering there were PvE realms. Lowbie ganking almost made me quit WOW completely within a month or two of starting. I wasn’t aware going to Stranglethorn Vale at 30s was going to replace me enjoying my game with my frustration being someone else’s enjoyment.
P.S. Flying Mounts did not create safe spaces in the sky. Dive-ganking was a thing, and all you needed was a way to get down safely yourself while someone who’d flown up to at or near the ceiling went splat.

I’ve seen it. I was Alliance during phase 2, on a Horde dominant server. It was my favorite phase, and content to experience during Classic thus far.

I have my rogue as a L29 twink. I’ve been wanting to level it to 60 but haven’t found the motivation yet. So I don’t do a lot of ganking. Back in 2005 I was all about it though. Always camped Hillsbrad Foothills lol.
There would be a lot more to do on the server if there were more alliance, trust, you just gotta let em’ get to a point where they have a chance to fight back.
All that rogue gear is wasted, you can gank lowbies without gear, should have given the gear to a rogue whos going for R14, or at least trys in raids.

You’re on Skeram, the server where’s there’s nearly no alliance. It’s not like any 60s come to the rescue of these lowbies. You’d have no issue doing it wearing a twill set.

Roll on a PVE server if you don’t want to get ganked. Every single person on PVP servers agreed to the possibility of getting ganked when they created their character.
