All my alts at level 60 are just for extra callings, and I have them progressed far enough that they are parked in Korthia to check daily quests for Covenant cosmetic rewards. That’s literally it. More alts means more shots at mounts, cosmetics, gold. I’d love to play them more but I have A LOT of alts and there’s too many hoops to jump through for end-game. They are good enough though.
once i get them to 60, i just stop playing them. it is not fun redoing a bunch of stuff all over again. if pvp wasnt a trash storm id do that.
Casual Player Here. My alts at 60 do:
Crafting, Fishing because, Old Dungeons, Join a group that needs insert class, Collect Transmogs. Not sure I will rank up covanents on all of them.
Mine checks Korthia to see what the quest rewards are. If it’s korthite crystals I run the quest. If not I log out.
Mine are mostly for professions and mog farming
There’s too many things to grind in this expansion to keep them current
The systems in SL make it very unfriendly at 60. You won’t have nearly any conduits to slot in that are worth it, and gearing is the normal grind. If you’re running a healer/tank it’s not bad but any dps is stuck after a day of play. You get to look forward to hunting WQs and grinding renown for conduit progression.
I let leave them in a stagnant existence… This expac makes me hate them.

This one is kinda sitting, the other one is kinda sitting, my other two Druids I alternate with to keep current.
The rest will get to 60 before the next expansion….where they will be sitting. I’m not a raider or pusher, so just getting as current as can be to that point is fine for me.
By sitting of course I mean doing some quests for gold and fun.
I have one char of every class, and all but two are 60 and have been for awhile.
I have four that I play the most one in each covenant, that are current max renown, with fully upgraded Korthia gear et al. The other six are various renown from 8 to 30, have bits and pieces of korthia gear at various upgrade levels, with AH bought 200’s for what isn’t, and all have their legendries but the two not 60’s.
Conduits just have one with them all and upgraded, others have various amounts and levels that happen to be up and I went and grabbed.
Overall if I enjoy playing a class I’ll play it and not make excuses why not to, which is why all but two have been 60 for awhile and played regularly.
One of those is next on the list to get played however, the mage though is probably going to stay 50 until the next expansion character boost (only reason they are 50 now)

Can a fresh lvl 60 enter Korthia?
I’ve not been able to get a single other character to 60 this expansion. Just… too much for me.

I dont even play my main I have no idea.
I have 7 60s at the moment. I have my main, and two “main alts” that I keep geared. All 3 are getting their normal and heroic raids plus keys. These passively get renown and conduits this way. The other 60 are in limbo this patch so far. Once they get a bit more gear and the main alts get done it’ll be their turn.
Main 235 full renown
Main alts 230 and 228 ~renown 50
Middle pack is ~210 renown 20ish
Lowest 200 and 196 no renown.
I only do callings on my main if I feel like it.
Edit- Ive done TG to get all but one at least 1 leggo, but won’t be doing more
Grind renown, korthia rep, korthia campaign, covenant campaign, farm anima, farm soul ash, grind for conduits, grind for gear.
If you’re raiding then add in soul cinders and stygian embers which there is no catch up mechanic for so you’re just behind everyone else lol. As well as domination socket gear and domination shards.
Fun.
Not if they are completely new. But if you’ve progressed enough through the Korthia campaign on your main then you can skip and go there after doing the first chapter of your covenant campaign on your alts.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I’ve been doing the Korthia grind for the last month or so. I bet I’m far enough along.

Get them to 60 and hope the game is actually playable in 9.3.
But we might not even get THAT now. Sad times.
