I’m a new player, been playing since shortly before Midnight dropped. I have been doing the dailies and weeklies, delves, dungeons, random quests, got some toys/transmogs that seemed cool and I’ve fished up 11.5k things to get the Nether Warped Egg for the mount.
I want to know what you do for fun when you’re not doing the raid, delve, dungeon, msq and weekly/dailies? Not looking for what is efficient or meta, just what are some fun things you like doing when you want a break from the gear grind. Basically, I’m looking for ideas cause I’m not entirely sure what is all out there to do and every video/post I see is just about the gear grind.
You can collect mounts, pets, appearances, toys. And, of course, achievements.
Mounts are, for some reason, the most prestigious, but different people like different things.
Personally, ny favorite thing in the game is pet battles. There is a poblem with Blizzard not supporting them in Midnight, but there is plenty for a new player to do with them.
Blizzard are absolutely awful at teaching people to play the game, and they have outdone themselves in being awful when it comes to pet battles, but there are external resources available.

I wrote a four part guide here:
of those, the fastest method is number 5: Lubbins, but it doesn’t teach you much, unlike the traditional method. Your call!
This is a MASSIVE compendium of guides for collecting pets and mounts:
And here are guides for getting appearances for transmog:
Grainne is right, collecting is where it’s at! If I get bored at the end of a patch or expansion, I look up achievements that reward something; mounts, pets, toys, titles, or decor-- there’s a ton of things!
