What do you do for a living?

I am a freelance writer. I work contract for various types of companies so like sometimes the articles you read might be me  I’m also a full time author and student working with online courses to finish my bachelors in History and Art History.

I work retail I was assistant manager at a Family Dollar for four years left when the old manager did because I did not get along with the new manager. Now I’m working in a convenience store and I’m so much happier the boss is great the work is not hard. It works with my daughter’s schedule so I can watch my granddaughter when she’s not working I worked in retail for customer service for the past 25 years I did major in Communications in college and minor in English. But it’s small Town North Dakota there iare not a lot of opportunities out here. I guess it’s the price I pay for living in what I consider to be paradise

That’s funny I used to work from home for a software company that was pioneering the order entry system for McDonald’s and I actually did drive through McDonald’s orders from home for a few years

Product manager at an orthopaedic implant company. Sounds more interesting than it is.

Used to be a mechanic at a Porsche and Ferrari dealership. That was cool but the pay was terrible.

Re-tired, but when I worked I was a screw-machine (no not that, sadly) setup/operator and the “Dirty Harry” of the machinist trade (every dirty job) any place I worked.

Take photos.

As some one with knee replacements (both 2005), I admit I laughed when I read this. In one job you did the actual replacing of parts. Now you make the parts for the replacements.

And on behalf of those of us who have had parts replaced, thank you. The parts you have helped make have changed our quality of life.

I wanted to get into graphic designing, but have twin daughters of age 2 and daycare is expensive so I’m a stay at home homemaker for the kids and hubby. I do love my kids though so I dont mind so much.
