I had a single core prebuilt pc when I first started then
I played classic on an HP Pavilion a600n with integrated graphics baby.
Since we’re on the topic, my GPU in the custom build was was a Radeon 9600xt. We couldn’t use it in the HP since it was AGP.
Can YOU remember that far back? What did you play on?

I don’t remember the parts. But I remember it was a pre-built turd. xD
The power button fell off, so I’d have to open the side of the computer to press it. Fun times.

Lmao yeah that’s what eventually happened to my HP. Get this. I used fricken rice to glue it onto the plastic spring. Only lasted a week before I mashed the button into the case so I used the spring from my mechanical pencil to press the power button.
eMachine 550 with a Pentium III 800mhz and 4GB Ram.
I think I had a ATI 9700 PRO GPU.

Do you mean for the stress test? My laptop.
I had a really crappy Dell computer from Best Buy that my ex took out one of their card loans to buy for me so that he could get me off his computer rofl. I paid that thing off too. Kept shutting off and turning back on right around LK, to which I got a brand new rig. I miss all my screenshots that I had lost though

When visiting significant other, I played on their machine…
Pentium 4 1.2ghz, 256mb RAM, Geforce 420 video card
It was very painful.
I had a slightly better Athlon XP machine - forget the exact specs, but around 2gb of RAM and a fairly decent vid card.

It was a Gateway purchased in 2002.
Amazingly it still runs, I pulled it out of my Garage this past winter to see if I could look for some old WoW screenshots and it booted right up, even connected to the internet.

I built a new computer at the start of 2006 to start playing WoW, it was a Pentium D 945 (3.4 ghz dual-core) with 2 gigs of ram and my first 19" non-widescreen LCD. None of this family potato stuff for me.

I lost so many screenshots too! I was only able to salvage what I saved on PhotoBucket

Oo! And my internet would disconnect me if I stood still for more than 5 seconds.
VERY fun times.

oh god i remember doing that also. happy to see someone else remember Photobucket
I don’t remember the price but I definitely remember that box! Nice GPU, I would’ve been Jelly.
If you still have it in storage or something, you can easily pop the hard drive out of it and connect it to your current rig. I have the hard drives from my last 3 PCs all in my current rig.

Photobucket is why I tried pulling my old PC out of the garage.
Several of the Screenshots and most importantly one commissioned drawing of my character I was trying to recover I had saved there weren’t accessible anymore. The HD on my current computer had just died so I pulled out the original one.

A 2002 Sony Vaio with 512 megabytes of RAM lol.
