Diablo 2 and 3 might as well be different genres that’s how different they are. So worth checking 2 out if you got the time.
4 is a lot like 3 tbh so best to stay away lol.
Necro because they are the only caster with decent spell animations.
Sorceress spell animations are low detail and low quality image files. Absolutely pathetic. Apply yourselves Blizzard developers.
It was gonna be Barb, and it might be eventually. For now it’s gonna be Necro.
Barb is cool. Double Swing has an amazing animation.
Going for Rogue and Necro to start, always been a barb, so going to change it up! Plus i love the way Rogue was playing.
i will be playing all of em of course, but as the question is main, fire Sorceress, cuz i played one in D2, D3, and i mainly do fire mage in WoW when i play a mage. Plus i had a lot of fun with fire sorc in the 2nd open beta and server slam.
If I were to play it I’d do Barbarian or Druid.
Druid Werewolf. It’s so so so good. Everything about it is fun and satisfying. It’s everything Worgen aren’t in WoW.

Barb for sure. I wanted to go Necro, if it had a melee petlessbuild. It might have that option but overall the class feels like a mess to me.
The other classes are neat. Sorcerer is a close second but barb just speaks to me.

People who bought the game but aren’t buying the monthly pass/in game currency/whatever get the pittance. They get the cosmetic equivalent of dirty rags (i.e. recolors).
The people who shell out more money look like literal, actual demigods.

If that’s okay with you, all the more power to you. I just find it to be incredibly telling that there was an entire devstream devoted to the store and monetization of D4, when it should be “Buy game (once). Play game. Obtain cosmetics in the game.”
Maybe they can mix up how you get them. Maybe it’s a built-up currency. Maybe drops from particular bosses. Maybe both? Either way.
Stuff not being tied to player progression makes it less predatory, but it sure doesn’t make it more fun.

Diablo is dead to me. D3 was horrible and I’ll never play anything beyond the D2 game I own.
Did the same thing with CoD. I still play the first Black Ops due to being so mad about the poor quality of COD games like Ghost.
I’m just done buying new games, they all suck now. Even if my older games are never updated again, I will forever play them.

Beside edgy origin story…I usually lean to non “mage” rdps.

I thought for sure i would be a barbarian main because warrior strong and barbarian strong… but Rogue is just so fun to me so rogue it is for me. reason: can choose melee or range at anytime. and the most fun ive had on the beta
