What Delve Companion Would You Like To Have?

I think it’s safe to say at this point most, if not all of us who Delve are done with Brann. I used to like him a lot! He’s a real go-getter, loves mystery, carries a big gun, and is a dwarf. Dwarves are neat!

I like him…considerably less now that I’ve chased his potions across Azeroth. Just a bit.

One of the cut features of Delves, for reasons I can’t begin to fathom, was the decision to cut out the other companions of Delves. I don’t think it was known who these companions would be, or what their abilities would be, but for me it would just be a different voice and vibe.

I think there’s countless options, but who would you choose as your companion?

I’d go with Neri Sharpfin. She was my favorite NPC during the Nazjatar adventure, and I just really liked her positive go-get-em attitude. I think she’d make for a fun companion too! Be able to fit the three roles just as well as Brann could.

Maybe she can have healing abilities that doesn’t require you to trudge through Gnomeregan-tier waste.

Let us pick from the whole Follower Dungeon roster.

that would give everyone on both factions a nice variety of options, and it would involve the Followers in the narrative as opposed to only existing in dungeons.

Zenkiki.

If I’m not seeing inopportune aquatic form usage or accidental self-moonfire spammage, I’ll be disappointed.

The fan favorite everyone grown to love of course.

Toddy Whiskers.

You know, I forgot about Zen’kiki! I liked his on-the-job learning. I think he has a handle on his Moonfires now, though.

Can’t say for sure he knows to not use Aquatic Form outside of, y’know. Water.

Just passive aggressive sass the whole time and it would be awesome

I mean, really anyone from the Dragonscale Expedition team, The Reliquary or the Explorer’s League, even if it means they have to swap a Delve event NPC like Reno or Finley for Brann.

As others have mentioned, I’d even like to have the Exile’s Reach NPCs (where the Follower dungeon NPCs are from) to select from.

Lastly, and even more interesting to me, is to select one of my alts for Delves, and also for Follower dungeons.

I’m not just saying this to be a naysayer or troll or whatever, but I’m not done with Brann. I really honestly still enjoy the voice and vibe. My bigger concern in replacing Brann is the new replacement. Gotta be careful with what you are asking.

That’s fine! Like I said I like Brann still. Not as much, but I think that’s because I’ve spent two seasons with him.

I think he deserves a break. A season long one, at the least.

I think people (but mainly speaking for me) just want more options. It’s fine for some, but when I’m running on Horde, or even this Warlock specifically, I’d just like the option to pick something more thematically… matching.

Our next Delve companion will be George Costanza.

I completely agree with more options. I think it would be a blast to run along aside a Horde equivalent, but would prefer someone from the Undead race, or even Troll/Zandalari or even Orc. Or better yet, now that I think about it, I think a Pandraren would be cool as well. I think the potential for most comedic would be Troll/Zandalari.

I feel like Rexxar would make for an interesting companion; he’s basically the proto Survival hunter and would have interesting effects he could manifest via his army of animal companions.

Alternately: Neesha since she hasn’t had much to do since 8.3 when the Vulpera became recruitable.

Harrison Jones! Or Murky.

The Dragon Scale Expedition/Explorer’s League (who are running the delves) has have a dozen named characters aside from Brann and they should have all been options.

There’s the blood elf with the very nice voice, theres Toddy Whiskers, there’s the vain gnomish photographer and the bubbly nightborne wildlife cataloguer. There’s the Kul Tiran mountaineer.

And lets not forget Rupert the gentleman elemental, Sir Finly Murgleton.
