I recently re-subbed for a month, and was reminded of all the reasons I’m looking forward to classic.
Cross-realm zones is at the top of my hate list. There is nothing that more surely kills any sense of immersion. You try to feel like an intrepid adventurer out in the wild world, but forty other people breathing down your neck at every quest objective absolutely ruins it.
I also hated how Cataclysm ruined the early questing zones. Westfall, Darkshore, Loch Modan, Thousand Needles were some of my favorite zones, and now they are lousy with ham-fisted stories rammed in everywhere.
Plus, it’s been how many years, can’t the dwarves even start to rebuild the dam? The cataclysm wouldn’t have been so bad if there had been a slow recovery process depicted over the course of several expansions, but no, everything was just ruined and left that way.
Shaman are unrecognizable now. Who thought it was a good idea to take their totems away? You basically have a poor man’s paladin without a bubble.
Argh argh argh…Classic can’t come soon enough.
