Sl was never great, it was better than bfa and was new content.

After 2 weeks the game was already boring me

What is that compared to other expansions? If an expansion is good, unsub numbers aren’t as significant as 41% I think.

It’s always fun at first. The sustainability factor is what the problem is. Too many short term “things” to do, and not enough “stuff to do”. Vanilla was not like this. They need to take a look back and see where they went wrong. “Stuff to do” is always better than “things” to do. A few “things” to do is fine as long as the ratio of “stuff to do” is higher.

Well, what went downhill for you?

I’m personally not a believer in the ‘x expansion is garbage’ mindset. All expansions are great, all expansions have trash changes as well, no expansion is awful the trash changes are awful, a system is awful, but every expansion has been fine overall. So I don’t see “the downfall of Shadowlands”.

It seems to me SuperData’s unsub count is higher than wows

It does nothing. It’s just a passive. It offers no change in gameplay. Tier sets used to change gameplay for some classes it was nice to change rotation.

the shard system passively increases damage that’s it. Nothing interesting at all. It’s disgustingly boring

I have to wonder if those who gush over SL are actually playing it.

There’s an old saying: You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Perhaps the Blizz folks could stop yelling at your customers.

Well you see when the devs aka video game makers were marooned in their own residences due to WFH*, they couldn’t go around drunk and harassing their colleagues so thus they got absolutely nothing done.

Shadowlands. That’s your answer.

Everything. PvP people quit. PvE people quit. Even Lore/story people quit. Everything is bad.

Plus it’s like they never heard of zoom or screen sharing or any of the other multiple types of technology that allow people to collaborate.

Ion and whoever approved the idea of Covenants with faction based lockouts, under the guise of “Meaningful choice”.

What good is that choice now?

Twitter trolls who get offended by everything and keep crying about how hard game is.

Do you have a couple of hours?

Looks like Ion needs to fire the devs giving him bad advice, it makes Ion look bad.

Ion makes Ion look bad. He shouldn’t be game director. He’s great at numbers and design of raid fights, but not at the game as a whole - which you can see he doesn’t even do.

No hes not a programmer dev, hes a design dev, but it looks like the programmer devs/leads have convinced him they know best. If i was in charge of bliz? id fire the whole damn lot of em and start again with people that know what fun means.
