The fact that horde has duels outside org.
Alliance has no dueling place and if they do its always empty. Nobody duels outside stormwind gates anymore.

Also. I love their casting animation and what I hope their heritage armor will be.
I only rolled this character for black mogs.
Better gameplay experience.
Dude, this drivel literally made me laugh out loud at work.
Are you a teenager?
Keep RL morals out of the video game please and thank you.
One, Sylvanas isn’t on the run.
You don’t take down the LK and shatter the barrier between the worlds if you are on the run lol.
Thrall did not put the horde in a bad situation, he did the best he could with the knowledge he had, as did Garrosh until he went crazy.
Varian has ALWAYS wanted war with the Horde and takes every chance he got before he dies to remind them that if they cross his imaginary line, he will end them.
Strategically, having enemies all around you is bad, so you remove them.
Thrall and Anduin want peace, but they are not the Horde and Alliance.
They are ineffectual leaders who have shown on multiple occasions that they lack what it takes to effectively lead their people.
Look at Tyrande, look at Genn. They are outside of his control.
The two sides will always be a threat to one another due to the Clash of Civilizations, it’s an excellent book that you should read as it highlights they WHY the sides will never truly get along.
When I first started around age 13 I though the horde side sounded cooler. I still ended up rolling NE druid though because I thought they were the cooler druid race. These days it’s just for the allied races. I did thoroughly enjoy the zandalar questline whereas every other zone felt more or less the same.
All this Horde bonding is making me ill.
Oh now THAT is something I haven’t considered. You may be onto something there.
/scribbles notes
The vibe is more my style. Alliance feels too goofy to me. And the races are way better… except Draenai, now they are awesome indeed.
It’s Goldshire for Allies, outside the inn.
I’ve been a horde fan since 99. I just enjoyed their their story. I found the alliance to be too petty and proud for their own good and in first war this resulted in the destruction of stormwind. Stormwinds fall ended up being the catalyst that really woke up the rest of the eastern kingdoms.
Because WoW actually cares about the orcs, trolls, zombies, minotaurs, goblins, ogres, and vampires that get cut down by the millions in every other game and has fleshed them out with distinct cultures and allows you to sympathize with them. The Horde is just more interesting and subversive than milquetoast Europe, USA humans.
First, my completionist urges. I have most of the allied races for Alliance unlocked, but none of the Horde ones. It only really bugged me when they released Vulpera. I also hadn’t unlocked the ‘Double Agent’ achievement, which was annoying to look at, so I made a horde alt to get that and start grinding Voldunai rep.
Second, Alliance has been losing a LOT of BGs, recently moreso. Like I only really won 25-30% of the time. And everyone Alliance-side had this awful ‘let’s just lose quickly’ attitude. It’s kind of nice playing horde and winning most of my BGs for once.
Also, wow, people are a lot nicer and more interactive on the Horde than the Alliance?? I’ve seen a few people raging at small things, but it’s a lot less frequent than on the Alliance. Alliance players tend to either be stone cold silent and introverted, or big rage and despair machines. Yikes.
Maybe it is just the setting (The grim-er and menacing art style) that causes players to seem more mature.
I intially played Tauren druid at a friends house back in 2005 - but when i got the game for myself I played NE Druid - and played alliance up until MoP.
Initially in MoP i just started noticing that Horde were a bit more PvP focused (Owing to their Vanilla roots of favourable PvP traits) - and generally had a more competent structure in Battlegrounds.
Going from a human warrior to Orc warrior was pretty intense. I was healed a lot more often in Random BGs (Objective data, btw) - and we were winning about 85% of battlegrounds.
And the losses were eerily close - i’d say once or twice a week we’d be mopped up.
I guess it is the euphoria of winning that turned me.
But, i do like the art styles of Alliance cities for more. And it is easier to feel in-character in an Alliance zone.
I can’t stand hunched backs - being an orc warrior kinda helped me get over it - but it still bothers me.
It is also weird seeing menacing creatures of the horde being a gentle soul behind the screen.
That can also be a jarring, yet, satisfying experience.
Always played Horde, it’s really all I know. Truly enjoy the ramshackle appearance and rustic, displaced feeling of Horde cities and outposts. Feels like fighting for a home even when home.
Dabbled in an Alliance DK back in WoD for the double agent achieve but haven’t been back to that toon in a long time.
It’s a time capsule to a rush lvld toon locked into the opening sequences of his garrison.
Maybe I will burn my boost on a new Alliance toon just to unlock all the Allied races in game just for fun. Been really thinking about it. Hmmmm…the Alliance wants me, Alliance needs me…but do they deserve me?
The Horde has much more diversity. Orcs/Trolls/Tauren, you get the idea. The alliance has humans (amazing) smaller, fatter humans, and midget humans. Draenei are cool tho.
Alliance lore is very pompous and self righteous. Horde lore is very bloody with redemption and honor.
Alliance buildings are a bore, Horde buildings are really cool with tribal culture and spikes.
I just really enjoy how different the horde can be compared to the castles-and-horses-and-shiny-armor faction is. I love it. I love the brutish and warrior style of the Orcs, the tribal and mystic traits of the trolls, the pact the blood elves made with the horde due to racism on the alliance’s side.
Also, it is a common misconception for ally mains to think that the Horde is just filled with blood thirsty mongrels. That is the OLD Horde, founded by the fel orcs. It includes savagery and demon worship. Thrall created the new Horde based on honor and integrity. (What Hellscream and Sylvanas did was VERY un-Horde like.)
The horde is cool and chill. Or as the trolls say: We got de good stuff, mon!
PS: Nightelves are just awful when it comes to their lore. Did you hear how they treated Illidan? THAT is savagery.
Horde isn’t a bunch of boring multi colored humans of various shapes and sizes.
The races have really good lore, the dynamic of the races banding together to prevent their destruction is also really good.
Every race looks very distinct with very out of the norm colors such as blue, green or simply a beast person.
I want to play this game to escape reality, humans bore me but I have a soft spot for the elves on horde side given there either small(blood elf) or tall stature(nightbourne)
The storyline for horde is also been mostly virtuous in my perspective, it isn’t evil to fight for resources, but I know garrosh and sylvannas potentially damaged our rep a bit, but even so, you met many horde during questing that speak out against sylvannas and garrosh so it isn’t a storm of evil by any means.
Tauren: I get to play what is basically a minotaur.
Orcs: I like being a muscular, violent, conquering race.
Blood Elves: Blood elf females prettiest models in the game in my opinion. And they’re stuck up and crazy. Fun to look at while you’re playing and amusing to role-play the elven equivalent of a mean girl.
Nightborne: l like their story and look. Main thing they need is more customization options.
Zandalari Troll: Huge, imperial trolls. They look and feel badass. Orcs are barbaric. Zandalari are cultured and powerful.
Vulpera: Nisha made me like the Vulpera. Nisha was straight crazy. I picture my little Vulpera as inspired by Nisha. I laugh imagining things dying from gnome sized foxes with huge weapons.
On Alliance side I like humans, Worgen, Dark Iron, and Void Elves. Worgen the most. It rocks to play a werewolf.
That’s so true! You would thing that Orcs and Trolls are just savages that drink blood. But then you see Thrall save Azeroth and Tauren trying mend ties with nightelves fir the Teldrassil fiasco.
