I mainly just hope they keep their promise to go back and retroactively make older reps/renown account wide and they give us the ability to change the background for the character select screen.
Both are things they said during the post-BlizzCon Q&A they would work on throughout TWW, but we’ve heard such things before.
Everything else they’ve revealed for Warbands is pretty much what I really wanted as an alt-oholic
Actually no, I thought of one I’d really like.
Make the underlight angler permanently warband-bound.
Retroactive old rep grinds. I shouldn’t have to do Nightfallen on every alt for class order hall mog/mounts.
A warbank with automatic reagent sorting, tabs where I can automatically say “cloth in this tab, ore in that tab” etc, etc
The ability to buy mog and cosmetics on a character who isn’t of the armor class of the mog I’m buying. For example, I’d like to buy ALL the Path of Ascension mog on my Warrior, since I have PoA mostly done on her, and I’d rather not do it 3 more times for the cloth, leather and mail armor sets.
Achievement sharing. If I have 12 kills for Firestorms in The Waking Shores on one toon, and 25 kills on another toon, that should mean I have 37 kills credited for that achievement
I was going to level an Ally BS. Warbands announcement has put that on hiatus. I already have a Horde BS. With Warbands, it should no longer make any difference.
The AH is going to be in tumult with Warbands with it being trivial now to move items across realms. Before, you at least needed two account. Now, you just need an alt. I guess the good news is we have more realms than room for bank^H^H^H^HAH alts? (Or do we?)
Other than that, I have no hopes or dreams for Warbands. Not really meaningful to me.
follower dungeons. with your alts. and they all get exp/rep/rewards
I still hope for a mission table like WoD because it was great seeing your followers in your garrison walking around, so I’d love for your alts to be your “followers”, especially for follower dungeons.
I hope to be able to change the campfire backgrounds, select where each alt goes, and would be even better to have a couple extra in the background, or some mounts, or hunter pets etc from your specific account moving around.
I wish the campfires were per server, or the ability to make them per server. I have alliance on one and horde on the other, so would like to see a different group of alts sitting there when I log onto the different servers.
Looking forward to the shared bank/gold whatever, because I always log into a main and send a new alt gold, would be cool if I didn’t have to do that anymore.
I’d just settle for a redesign of the reagent bank. It should not be slots, it should be able to hold all types of materials, but a certain number of them, like let’s say 500 max iron ore but also 500 max iron bars. Something like that.
I’d like to see them enjoying a wienie roast.
Straight up, the mogs locked behind those kinds of grinds should unlock each type automatically. I shouldnt need to do each covenant 4x just to get pieces of each type
Man it’d be wild for blizz to cut playtime by 80% to get the same amount of stuff for alts.
I have no expectations. I imagine that on implementation unexpected restrictions will apply.
I’m gonna dream real small:
I hope we can actively select who’s sitting around on the character select screen.
I get the sense it might be randomized. So it’s gonna be like, the mage and the hunter that I keep capping but never really playing, one of like 3 shaman I rolled trying to determine whether I actually like shaman or not, and that priest I rolled to collect tiersets I will never enjoy because I don’t like playing shadow and I don’t heal.
Warbands answer a lot of things, like faction grinds on different alts. The mogs are in one place, where a new cloth mog found by my pally can be tossed in.
Overall a plus… but going blue sky, perhaps a “library” of skills, so if one alt maxed a tradeskill, another alt going into that tradeskill would have all the recipes available.
Warbands is definitely something I’m looking for, being so alt-heavy.
If I could add anything I wanted, it’d be to use my alts in Follower dungeons, add a physical campsite that you can customize and decorate, and allow you to use transmogs from any character (plate/mail/cloth etc) in the Warband regardless of class.
If we weren’t already so deep into expanding class/race options, I’d even say it could be a way to unlock new classes that aren’t usually available to a given race, a bit like SWTOR’s legacy system.
Account wide everything would be the best scenario I’m hoping for. However, knowing Blizzard, there will always be some kind of catch (for example, spending 300 of one currency on your main to transfer 200 of that currency over to an alt).
