What are your Keybindings?

I have so many keybinds across all my toons but the constants are:

Shift S: interupt
G: stun
Shift Z: 3m cd
B: other 3min cd
Shift Q: battle rez
T: taunt
Shift G: dispell

Rest is character specific.

I remapped my keyboard a while ago.

< is opening Character tab
1 on Numpad is now sitting down.
2 on Numpad is now drawing out the weapon.

Z X C are skills.
Q E are skills.
Shift + Q Another Skill
Shift + E another skill.
Mouse 1 is mount up in my case, or can be reused to dismount.
Mouse 2 is Generally quick mobility.
Mouse 3 can be another mobility or stun, depending on class.
Alt + 1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5
R is a skill.
G is Heal / Self heal (Unless I play a Healer then it’s a whole different story.)
Shift + G can be debuffer or second self heal.
` being a Skill.
F Being a skill.
F1 F2 F3 F4 are also skills.
V is one, heh the skill related to it depends. This one is often based on Character.

I think I cover most? I don’t have game opened but by muscles memory seems about it. Some skills are rarely clicked. Tried to bind more to mouse but being a Lefty I got issue keybinding a lot of things to mouse.

(Anyone who play Blade & Souls would noticed the reference in my key mapping, that game really improved my general gameplay on WoW and FF14.)

My bindings go something like this in general (with slight variations depending on what a spec has to bind)

I have a gaming mouse which is why my 1-3 and 4-6 are all out of whack, but that’s the overall gist of my bindings :blush:

For me thats Alt+Mouse Forward :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

1-5 and QERSFXC, plus shift-modifiers.

S is usually for a mobility tool, unless I’m tanking. C is always an interrupt and X is always a defensive CD.

T is for Push-to-Talk. As it should be.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Alt 1, Alt 2, Alt 3, Alt 4, Alt 5, (thanks to macros, i can save space on that for my alt:mods, lal.) for my… main abilities, combo builders/combo finishers or what have you being in the middle, the first have like some short defensive/cc and usually the interrupt/stun is last depending how many abilities i have.

As for Shift T, Shift R, Shift F, Shift G, Shift V, Shift B, Shift E, Shift Q, Shift S and my two extra mouse buttons mouse button 4 and 5, anything sorta goes.
Shift F and G are usually reserved for AoE abilities.

Not done. Shift Z for Flight master whistle, Shift X for Buffs, Shift W for usually Sprint or other speed boosters, Shift A and D for my “quick” strafe (so i have Q and E and Shift A and Shift D for my strafe) and Shift Space for either gliding, using my slow fall (on self), druid flying, zen flight, whatever to save me from falling if i’m on appropriate class. (This was achieved with Macro Toolkit for 1024 char limit.)

Update: Shift H for Hero or other effects (i also made it where if i hit just H, it will just say i’m hitting the hero button, and if i want to confirm that, i hit Shift H, just so i don’t accidentally fire it off), Shift M when i mouse over something, it gives me a name of whereever i landed my mouse cursor (only useful for seeing where that actionbar slot is), and F9, F10, F11, and F12 for “quick” swapping different specs 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively. Also i do have 6, 7 and 8 on my setup, but they rarely get used. I also forgot to mention that i’m a WASD and Mouse.

Suffice to say, when it comes to playing WoW, i want my one hand to be on only the left half of the key board while my other on the mouse.

1-6 for my core abilities.
Q, e, T and f as well.

Y is always my interrupt, g is always my stun.

S/C+ERT for cooldowns.

CS+123 for short CDs.

F1 is mounting, F2-6 for further CD’s and pots

Q, E, R, Z, X, C, 1-5, Shift+1-5, Razor Naga with buttons on the side for numpad 1-5, shift+numpad 1-3, shift-Q, E, Z, X, C, cntrl+1-5. cntrl+ x, z, middle mouse button

cntrl+x is my ground mount or primary mount
cntrl+z is my flying mount or secondary mount

Every other bind varies with characters. Main spells are usually 1-5, cool downs are either shift+1-5 or shift+numpad 1-3 depending on if they have long cool downs. Numpad 5 or middle mouse is usually my mobile ability. Q, E, Shift+Q and Shift+E are usually always healing spells.

On this character…

  • 1-6 are attack abilities
  • 1-6 on my mouse thumb buttons are heals.
  • 7-12 on my mouse thumb buttons are CC, defensive, movement, etc.
  • Q is thunder focus tea, and E is racial.
  • WASD movement
  • F1 is jade serpent statue, F2/3 transcendence, F4 revival, F5 is lock rock, F6-8 are less used stuff that I don’t remember
  • I click other things like mounts.

(As an aside, I kind of love that people have 20+ keybinds at the same time that GD is incessantly whining about classes being pruned with nothing to do.)

I have a regular/average mouse that I use to move my toon around and to look around.

I have a regular keyboard that’s so old some of the keys are blank but I know what they are.

Talents are on the left side of the kb; qwert, asdfg, zxcv and b is for butt aka sitting although I could probably attach a long cooldown talent to that instead.

Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX rgb mechanical

E - basic builder - for pally judgement
R - Spender - for feral rake, buff/trinket macro for war.
Q - stun for most - on war heroic leap
F - interrupt all classes
C - Utility, War heroic throw, dh glaive toss, buff trinket macro for hunter.
T - rarely used situational skill

Mouse: Razor Naga Hex
7 button thumb, and 2 scroll tilt easily hit with index.

Left wheel tilt - Pet heal on Hunter, Secondary aoe on most classes.
Right wheel tilt - main aoe all classes.
7 - movement skill
3 - Usually a mover / self heal
6 - Builder
5 - spender
4 - defensive / utility
1 - defensive / utility
2 - defensive / utility

E is also my builder, and T is my rarely used skill key, I even forgot to mention it in my original post haha.

shift+5 fishing/archeaology/mount-sound (for fun)/yak-mount/waterstrider/random-toys
second-bar is more class-abilities, and flying mount.

  • I use arrow keys ^,<, v, > instead of W,A,S,D or whatever it is.
  • NumPad 0 for jump
  • I use NumPad 1 - 9, Enter and . for most of my skills
  • Delete for tab target
  • PgDn for interaction
  • Buffs or CD’s I just leave on top bar and click

G602 has all 9 extra buttons bound to various things.

I use 1,2,3,4, F, Alt+1 for infrequent abilities such as glacial spike, Tilde, three or four of the macro keys on the G910 keyboard on the left. Y is for ground mount, U is for flying mount, thats about it.

I keep 1 and 2 for spammable spells like Sinister Strike or Frostbolt. The forward buttons on the mouse binds are for things that go forward such as cone of cold, blink, grappling hook, sprint, etc. The back keys closest to me on the mouse are for things that actually move backwards or effect my own character such as ice block, a self heal, vanish.

I try to keep it simple. I click my macrod cooldown button. hides.

I rock with: 1 - 5, Q, E, R, T, F, C, G, V, ` (Tilde), F1-F5 for abilities.
For every key mentioned there is Alt+ except for F4 and F5 ( I dont need to explain why) also use for abilities and potions.
Shift+ is cast at focus. Shift+MiddleMouseButton set focus. Shift+Spacebar 1st mount, Ctrl+Spacebar 2nd mount

With my thumb MouseButton3 ability (for Unholy I use pet stun) MouseButton4 push to talk comms

Ctrl+Scroll change main bar with alternate bar that has flags, professions and other miscellaneous stuff like jeeves.
My main bar set up as follows from left to right: Tilde, 1, 2, 3, 4, Q, E, R, F (normally my interrupt), T, G, 5

As an example I use Alt-F3 for lust or drums. One to the right and I exit lol. So when I press lust I mean business :smiley:

r , t , z , g , mup , mdown ,mbutton. mouse 1 , mouse 2.

then i shift with them all.

keybinding on the mouse wheel with a shift though is life changing tbh. took me about 10 years to figure it out hahaha

I try to use the same setup across all my chars, makes it easier on muscle memory

A,S,D,X for strafing and forward backward… try to use the mouse for movement most of the time though.

Q W E R T and Shift Q W E R T for casts and such

Z for interrupts
C for healing or main defensive cooldowns
F for speed or blink abilities
1-5 for anything else that I might randomly need in the fight.

Also have a logitech mose with 16 buttons that i use for things like primer spells, mounts, on use items and such.
