What are your goals in the game right now?

Learning healing mostly. Starting by leveling 1 of each.
try to find an in-game community that fits my time and interests.
start doing some raiding (normal to heroic) this tier.
Love to find an active project 60 group somewhere - love the concept, though the no talent thing irks me a bit.
Get more into pvp

Observation: most people are talking so far about collecting things and leveling alts.

Keep it coming, I wanna see if anyone has anything to say a character(main/one) being progressed.

Nobody can comment when the time gates and RNG will be in their favor, so there is no point in hoping for progression.

Short term: level fishing and cooking this character.

Long term: Finish leveling alliance character to unlock Allied Races and NE customizations. Finish leveling Allied Races to unlock Heratige Gear.

I’ve been busy grinding honorbound rep to collect more of the honorbound medals from caches to get that 395 ilv ring to replace one of my weak ones. Also been completing all the WQs for the other caches.

Eventually, I’d like to get back into mythic+ dungeons, especially since all gear will have an item level jump soon.

Been also leveling a warrior on an oceanic server. The ping isn’t bad enough that it lags me out, so perhaps I can join a raiding guild there that can fit into my late work schedule.

to stay subbed long enough for the game to be fun again.

Just trying to find every small reason to not quit tbh. Taking small comforts in occasionally RP’ing. Beyond that I’m on the ropes, man.

Short term, once again find myself in an Off Tank position within a guild going into the next raid. Secured myself a guild that needed an OT, so i’m good to go.

Long term, i’d like to push mythic progression and high m+ keys. I’m more comfortable with raiding than m+, so i’ll need to push myself to complete more keys in this expansion vs. in Legion.

Short term: Make enough gold to continue paying my sub with tokens. Then at least someone else is paying for my gaming time because I’m finding it more and more difficult to justify handing over my own money to do it.

Long term: I’m starting to find it difficult to see past the short term.

The main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing. Right?

Long Term? No idea at this point. I used to know my plan and what I wanted to do. I was always pretty clear. I’d get an xpack. Level all my characters one of each class to max level. Do all the content. And try to push myself with higher difficulty things in the game. Right now… I guess I’m hoping my guild starts raiding again when the new raid comes out… more than that… I don’t know.

Short term? Not get so mind numbingly bored that I quit. I’m at about that point right now. My guild had to stop raiding mythic Uldir without getting where we thought we’d manage in early december due to lack of attendance. After that M+ dried up as everyone just left. So the two things I was enjoying ceased. I thought I’d level my alts, but the lack of flight is so obnoxious right now I just can’t be bothered. So, instead… I largely log on… think about doing something… can’t get the motivation… log out… and go watch stuff on youtube or read other sites.

I already unsubscribed, because they were dumb enough not to put flight back for the current content in 8.1, but I have a couple months left. If flight isn’t back before that runs out, then I’m probably gone. I may be gone before then anyway if things don’t pick up. I’ve never really seen it this bad so early in an xpack before. Even Warlords wasn’t this dead.
