  • Murder 12 of these guys and 8 of these other guys.

  • Kill that one elite guy with a few mechanics.

Basically, no egg hunts, no gimmick minigames, and NOTHING that uses the godawful vehicle UI. Murky the Murloc is right out. Just my character and her spell rotation, the way she was meant to be played.

Oh, I do enjoy puzzles and original content (the endless halls for the black unicorn were some of the most clever content Blizzard ever made, and the Netherwing races were great). Just not as daily repeatables.

quests that have actual meaning to them not just “kill X mobs and collect Y amount and turn in” i like to see stuff like oh this npc is actually bad in the end and we ended up helping him cause we didn’t know.

it doesn’t necessarily need to be a huge part of the lore it just has to feel like an actual meaningful task. otherwise it just feels like those quests where here talk to this npc who is only 10 feet away and hand in for 50exp -.-"

Kill a named mob and turn in its head.

It sucks that Blizzard hates this kind of quests and removed it from WQ.

Help Loh get home

Favorite ever were the OG lock and pally epic mount quests

I like quests that use my brain a little. I’d actually advocate for taking out the quest markers and adding a bit more to the quest text, if it had any momentum. Quests a bit more descriptive than Morrowind quests of “head east, turn left at the giant oak tree. Or was it a maple tree? Ah, whatever, turn left when you get there. If you see a few rocks, you made it. If you reach the far end of the continent, you’ve gone way too far. Oh, and take this silver sword and scrolls. You, uh, cough, might need them. Just in case. You know. Ghosts or something.”

I like quests that are part of a story. Kill these guys because they did X to those people.

I hate escort quests.

I generally don’t like the turret/shooting quests.

But,. I like the Venthyr mirror burning vampires “gun” WQ.

I prefer 1 mini-boss kill WQ’s rather than kill X amount of tokens

The “hey, use my weird blacksmithing mats and make some weird thing and get some ore” quests are cool.

Interacting with NPC “bodyguards” are fun Q’s

I like simple easy WQ. I’m already max level, I don’t want to waste my time killing 30 mobs.
