I wrote off Sirenia after listening to, and being disappointed by, the releases of their third and fourth studio albums. I only recently listened to The Seventh Life Path, however, and it seems they finally found a new groove, if different from their earliest works.


On the Wane is an amazing Sirenia song. Oldie but Goldie!

That whole album is one of my favorites, and certainly among the best gothic metal albums ever released. It's sad that the genre has petered out over the last 15 years or so. There was a lot of potential behind it.

There was supposed to be another dungeon for which this would've been the theme, but the area was cut from the original release and wouldn't be seen until the DS re-release. The song, however, is listed on the OST, along with an unused battle theme that's pretty rad.
