What are you listening to now? V5 (Part 1)

System of a Down - ATWA
VOLA - Smartfriend [progressive metal]

New material from VOLA and it's really good! A lot heavier than anything off Inmazes, but still melodic with some killer keyboard parts. Excited to hear more!

Woke up this morning, hit random on my playlist and this is the first thing that came up. If it wasn't 3am I'd ditch the headphones and turn it way up:

Chemical Brothers - Chemical Beats (1995)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhpQxoyhssg

And yeah, they were the Dust Brothers before legal issues with... well, with the Dust Brothers. "Dust Brothers UK" was not going to cut it, and they were forced to change their name. Hence the debut album name "Exit Planet Dust" as well as jabs at the issue with track names like "In Dust we Trust".

P.S. I'm watching the advances on communities like a hawk, because I would really love to have this community in-game (I know I can just join one of the 500,000 Discord groups for music sharing, but it doesn't feel the same). Using the beta launcher, you can now share YouTube links and other cool stuff. The current drawbacks are that link sharing only functions via chat done through the launcher (doesn't carry over to in-game), and it only works for Battletag groups. Soon, perhaps!

Short one today. Only a couple more days til the expansion. I plan on staying up for about 16 hours straight to power through to 120. Hopefully I can actually do that instead of passing out on my keyboard at 6 AM like I did during Legion launch :D

Tenacious D - Tribute (2001)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lK4cX5xGiQ

Jack Black: "This is not the greatest song in the world; this is just a tribute."

Includes examples of Tenacious D genius such as the following lyrics:
Ah-rah, dee
Soo-guh-goo-gee-goo-gee
Goo-guh fli-goo gee-goo
Guh fli-goo, ga-goo-buh-dee
Ooh, guh-goo-bee
Ooh-guh-guh-bee-guh-guh-bee
Fli-goo gee-goo
A-fliguh woo-wa mama Lucifer!

Edit: Ten months later, to put the video in, which for some reason did not work, even though it looks excellent in the preview. So I guess I just came here to wreck the formatting! :sunglasses:

ProgPower is in a couple of weeks and I'm mostly going to see these guys. Lykaia was one of my favorite albums of last year, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something new to listen to.
