Mark Knopfler - The Car Was The One

From the album liner notes:

The Car Was The One re-tells a brief incident related by the late Mark Donohue when he was young, frustrated and desperate to race. The short passage in ā€˜The Unfair Advantageā€™, the book about his life written by Donohue himself and Paul Van Valkenburgh, reminded me of how badly I wanted to be out there playing in a rock band when I was young. Itā€™s about a young personā€™s desire to follow his compulsion.

Cat Stevens - Was Dog A Doughnut

I was amused to see on Wikipedia that when Teaser and the Firecat was released in 1971, a reviewer wrote ā€œCat has become a dependable artist, a good artist, but he appears to be one of those composers who does not develop, who holds no surprises.ā€

Six years later, the guy who wrote Peace Train, Moon Shadow, and Morning Has Broken does this. Yeah, sure, no surprisesā€¦
