What are you favorite moments so far?

It’s the small moments. You fish together and have a conversation about the excitement. Wish each other well. See them level up. Then there is an alert that one of you died. And you think to yourself “Oh nooo”

This. While I try to help if I can you have to assess if it is worth it in that you will not die trying to help someone, if they aggro more than 2-3 mobs, that’s a HARD NO… You are on your own. If an elite is involved, definitely a hard no.

I find I have to balance helping and self preservation.

I buff people to give them a false sense of confidence. when my buff falls off they were lulled into the sense of still expecting to take on things they could before it fell off and then they die. The false sense of security is their downfall.

I have to agree that the < 20 alliance general feel isn’t all that great. I’ve had a number of people snipe murlocs from me in Westfall as I’m sealing up and running one down only to have some druid or hunter tag it first, for example.

Now, on the other hand, I did help a human paladin (I play a dwarf paladin) get to an herb behond some troggs in Loch Modan. We helped each other whack mobs and she got to picking while I covered her back. Silly, I know, but it’s nice doing things like that.

Dwarf paladin is 16 now and just ironically completed the resurrection quest.

I’ve helped saved a couple people from death. Don’t know if i’ll see them again or if I or them will make it to 60

But it was a nice feeling

My favorite moment so far…

I think its when I saw a level 25 die to the UC elevator boss…I know that dude was mad :joy:

And the nostalgia. It’s like launch day everyday!

Questing around the Son of Arugal and completing it without dying to the Son of Arugal. My first char died to him.

My favorite moment is when a rogue purposely pulled half a cave and vanished in front of me with 10+ mobs in tail just as I was performing some AOE damage on my owned tagged mobs.

I didn’t even get a chance to see their name, whoever they are. I hope they die very viciously.

Making pulls like that, they won’t last much longer. I hate when people train mobs to me.

Surviving

In the rugged expanse of Stonetalon Mountains, where danger lurked behind every rock and tree, a Tauren hunter named Manakin walked quietly through the terrain. With his loyal boar companion, Milkshake, by his side, he sought to keep the balance between nature and the Horde. Manakin was known for his uncanny tracking skills and strategic prowess in combat.

One fateful day, as the sun cast long shadows across the uneven landscape, Manakin noticed a lone Orc warrior named Grak’tar stumbling through a narrow ravine. The Orc was battered and bloodied, barely holding onto his weapon as he fled from three fearsome enemies: a trio of menacing Grimtotem Brutes, their eyes filled with malice.

Manakin’s heart raced as he assessed the dire situation unfolding before him. Without hesitation, he formulated a plan. With a swift command to Milkshake, his boar companion charged forward with a powerful snort, effectively distracting one of the pursuing Grimtotem Brutes. With Milkshake engaging the first foe, Manakin’s attention turned to aiding Grak’tar.

Manakin knew that closing the gap might spell doom, so he took a different approach. He quickly notched an arrow and aimed for the closest Grimtotem Brute. With a precise shot, the arrow embedded itself in the ground near the brute’s feet, creating a shockwave that momentarily dazed the creature. This momentary reprieve gave Grak’tar the chance to gain some distance and catch his breath.

“Find safety, warrior,” Manakin’s voice carried across the ravine. “I shall hold them back.”

Grak’tar’s eyes, a mixture of exhaustion and determination, met Manakin’s gaze. With a nod of gratitude, the Orc sprinted to a safer position.

As Grak’tar found cover, Manakin’s plan continued to unfold. He shifted his focus to the remaining two Grimtotem Brutes. Drawing upon his vast knowledge, he unleashed a concussive shot, striking one of the pursuers squarely in the chest. The force of the impact staggered the brute, giving Manakin the opportunity to create even more distance.

With a practiced fluidity, Manakin maintained a safe distance from the Grimtotem Brutes, his arrows flying true with each shot. He aimed to cripple and hinder them, giving Milkshake the time to effectively hold the third brute at bay.

The kiting dance continued, Manakin’s footwork and shots perfectly timed to avoid the brute’s advances. Milkshake’s powerful charges and snorts echoed through the ravine, further distracting and enraging the enemy.

As time passed, the combination of Milkshake’s resilience and Manakin’s calculated attacks wore down the Grimtotem Brutes. Their steps grew sluggish, their roars diminishing. In one final, well-placed shot, Manakin incapacitated the last Grimtotem Brute, sending it crashing to the ground.

With the battle won, the ravine fell silent. Grak’tar emerged from his place of safety, his gaze filled with gratitude as he approached Manakin.

“Your skill saved my life, Tauren,” Grak’tar’s voice held a deep sense of appreciation.

Manakin nodded, a modest smile gracing his lips. “May your path be without further obstacles, Orc.”

With that, Grak’tar continued on his journey, and Manakin watched him disappear into the distance. The bond forged in the crucible of battle between a Tauren hunter, his loyal boar companion Milkshake, and an Orc warrior named Grak’tar was a testament to the resourcefulness and unity that defined the Horde.

My fav part is when I see corpses of players because it’s funny. On the other hand I think I enjoy seeing players alive and running around as well and find that just as fun. But for sure running into a questing spot and seeing the floor littered with dead characters is hilarious.

People giving random buffs as you run by, I was doing that too on my priest.

I’ve had someone open trade to give me a chest piece on both my druid and priest. I thought that was very sweet and if you’re here, thank you!

Seeing a lot of people running around and the feeling of being part of a community again.

while leveling my priest I have saved at least 5 or 6 people on the brink of death with a quick heal in Westfall, always feels good to help.

Did a save for a wee Gnome risking it all on a Wetlands run. I’d just gotten a bag upgrade from Sida, escorted her and traded her the six slot I’d replaced. Feels good man :slightly_smiling_face:

Priest/Druid/Mage 30m buffs are big and very helpful when passing by them.

Unfortunately my Pal buffs are only 5m, so while I do buff passersby and return buff anyone who buffs me, my 5m buff will probably be gone by the time they reach their next questing area.

Bringing Pal buffs to 10m would have been a nice QoL change.

watching ppl play the game lol rn im lvl 2 in elwynn my fave place to lvl so it’s that rn. the world is alive for now.

Also for anyone running the “Deathlog” addon, go into your addon options for it and change the death alert sound to “Gun1”. It’s a shotgun blast sound everytime someone dies and has me cracking up constantly.

You mean sounds more an uzi firing…

Well it’s a single blast followed by a metallic pump action shotgun sound. At least on my version of Deathlog.

But yeah with how many people are dying, it is firing off like a machine gun sometimes
