I actually had a run a couple hours ago and listened to music. It really doesn’t take too much time, honestly. But I agree that it’s kinda gotten excessive. We’re not even talking substance most of the time, mostly mud flinging. I admit I let myself stoop a bit after I received enough of it.
Theirs been some good ideas both sides but between the post padd spam and insults on both sides it’s just old.
To be honest this thread is kind of a different topic. Its asking about the future changes in the next patch. Its not about twinks or battlegrounds really, just the upcoming changes that might affect them. I am trying to not bring the twink exp off argument here.

Hey now, I was at work and didn’t post for a bit.
Any more talk in PTR about changes? How about gem removal from random battlegrounds? Enchant removal? Have they experimented with AI bots in PTR for battlegrounds to improve que times? What other secrets can we glean out of there?!!
The team has been temporarily quarantined due to the rapid spread of ear mites. They were sharing headphones in the office and will return on Tuesday hopefully.

the change affects all items differently, an example being my mindtap talisman at 40 will go from ilvl 40 to ilvl 45 but the stats will remain the same
11 intellect 11 vers. I am not on the ptr I used wow heads ptr and just searched a few items.
Another example would be moks headcracker
at 39 on live its an ilvl 40 item while on the ptr its ilvl 45 with 1 more agility and 1 more crit.
And just for 1 more example - princess scepter from mara a proc weapon.
live its ilvl 39 with a proc of 390 damage
on the ptr its ilvl 45 with a proc 234 damage no change in terms of str or stamina or base weapon damage.
Of course this is just the ptr via wowhead I decided not to download the ptr this time so things are def subject to further change.

Thank you. So basically all these changes are for dungeon drops? So people would have to run dungeons for possible drops for these items? Hrm, I do like the changes, however I do not see how this helps leveling the field in battlegrounds in the context of being able to use these items much. If you are leveling you probably will out level the battleground you are trying to gear for. I guess I need to think about this a bit more to figure out how this will actually benefit realistically.
I feel like most people queue up for dungeons while questing and BGs when they’re tired of dungeons. So buffing dungeon gear stats while nerfing overtuned procs should help some of the issues with “twinks”.
Exactly. For me, I am leveling up the allied races. Also various other toons on the horde side as well. I feel the need to be complete on the horde side now because of this lol. So I am really leveling up like 9 toons right now, and there is only so many quests and dungeons a person can run without wanting to institutionalize oneself. The battlegrounds offer a variety at least in the terms of playing against other humans. This nerf will make a huge difference if actually happens.
My second example was a quest reward from dustwallow marsh, its for quest items and dungeon items.

Now I understand these changes affect the twinks and benefit the levelers right? Levelers are basically going to use heirloom items where as twinks would use these items for BiS right?
Not sure, some items have stat changes while other do not. I can’t say for sure if this will have that much of a change on anything. A few items will not be BIS anymore but I don’t see it being very different from now.

Cool. I appreciate your information. I might try to learn this PTR thing. I have never used it before and might mess around with what can happen over there.
So, I will head back over to the other thread for this. Thank you Tosko for saying what you said. Apparently the changes are not really that great and they will not make that big of difference.
