What a smooth dungeon run should like in Hardcore, and when to hearth out

In this video you see how a group should perform. This video of Blackfathom Deeps demonstrates how all dungeons should be. Clean, Safe and Simple.

This group of random pickups allows the tank to pull first, CC’s different targets while the mobs chase the tank, and waits for the tank to start fighting around the pillar before they unleash their dps.

This is not an exceptional group. It’s a random group of pickups (pugs) that understand the BASICS how to play the game. In this video you see that not a single defensive cooldown, health pot or target dummy is used by any person in the group in the entirety of the one hour run.

Many new tanks do their jobs fine, or would do their jobs fine, but they have morons in their group pulling before they do, preventing the tank from gaining threat, and gaining rage (which in turn gains more threat) and positioning the mobs in safe location to prevent chain aggro.

Unfortunately, lots of new tanks (and healers) are just as new as the damage dealing morons in their group that overpull and don’t understand the basics of dungeons. Because of this tanks and healers are the first to die to the beginner level mistakes of idiot dps players in the entry level dungeons, without the new tanks and healers ever knowing that it was moronic dps that killed them.

Because of this, moronic dps players live longer than the new tanks and healers, and then get more new tanks and healers killed later on in higher level dungeons.

In the next video you will see a hunter in the exact same dungeon chain pulling ahead of the tank, making my job impossible. You will see that I quickly leave the group and hearth out on the VERY FIRST TRASH PULL.

This video is for new tanks and healers to know what they should expect in dungeons. If your dungeon run if any more difficult than what you’re seeing in this video, it’s time to drop the group and hearth out.

The second video shows a huntard chain pulling in front of the tank. Notice that I leave group and hearth out immediately after the first trash pull.
