When I first started playing I went all in on Night Elves but when I decided to try life on the Horde Forsaken were the obvious choice for me as they were former humans but sadly I found out they are basically written as evil beings bent on spreading their curse to the living while being happy torturing and experimenting on their neighbors.
It was a hard pass for me and I wish they were portrayed as misunderstood people instead of monsters with an altered mind.
High elf
Skinny kultirans
Ethereal
Dwarves
Alliance only
Paladin alliance only
Shaman horde only
Undead Undead Undead Undead. Iām biased but Iād totally do it that way.
Iām still holding out hope of the Forsaken establishing itself as its own faction
Night Elf, Blood Elf, Void Elf, and Vulpera.
the lore is there for this, but you have to look for it. plus there is a lot of mixing of scourge and forsaken characters so it can get muddy.
I like to think that since they were human to start with there were good and evil humans and that translated to having good and evil forsaken
As a WC3 era player I still wish the war between factions end for good.
We can keep the War in Warcraft by attacking third parties or world ending threats or subfactions who refuse to forgive and forget.
Iām just tired of the endless back and forth thay leads to nowhere.
Blood Elfs
Night Elf
Nagas
Undead
Pandaren, Dwarven, Nightborne, Tauren.
This faction would come together for their love of having a good time
Furbolgs
Centaurs
Sethrak
Gnolls
Hogger can be the faction leader.
We need a Neutral faction for all the dark, edgy types.
Iād take Forsaken from the Horde as the opening shot. I dont think there are any dark, edgy Alliance races (and I wonāt agree to Void Elves because we need beautiful Elves). Any races like Ogres, Murlocs or other strange iffy races should go into it.
They can hire out as mercenaries, organise as bandits and attack various settlements, cause a ruckus at annual events and generally act like teenagers on their last day of High School.
Honestly yeah even Thrall mentioned it in BFA how many times Horde and Alliance came to blows. If there has to be any conflict im fine with splinter factionsor maybe the idea of wargames against each other factions with some friendly/heated rivalries coming from it.
The Dark Alliance:
- Worgen
- Dark Iron Dwarves
- Void Elves
- Mechagnomes
The Illidari:
- Blood Elves
- Naga
- Forsaken
- Manari
The Wise Horde:
- Magāhar (Outland)
- Ogriāla Ogres
- Zandalari Trolls
- Highmountain Tauren
Iād probably resurrect that āmongrel Hordeā idea that Garrosh had before it was scrapped for Iron Horde in WoD.
All of the lesser races- Kobolds, Gnolls, Murlocs, probably Troggs, and others.
They may not have brains, but they certainly have brawn and mere numbers.
All they need is semi-competent leadership which wouldnāt be found amongst themselves.
Itād have to be lead by an outsider, which was originally going to be Garrosh.
And it was basically the Axis of Evil from Cataclysmās Loch Modan that heād recruit, in addition to Hogger and Elywnn Gnolls.
Races that have a well documented beef with Humans and Stormwind.
Not be taking Voidies from the Alliance, please. I like my beautiful Voidy Elf just where it is. And Worgen arenāt dark, just misunderstood. Now, if we have Vampiresā¦yeeesssā¦
The, āDark Alliance,ā concept is the core races of the Alliance, with a dark twist. So, instead of humans you have, āCursed,ā humans. Instead of elves, you have, āCorrupted,ā elves. Instead of dwarves, you have, āDark,ā dwarves. Instead of gnomes, you have Mad Scientist gnomes.
Its not so much that any of these races are, āEvil,ā as a whole, so much as theyāre the dark reflection of the Alliance.
I always thought it was a shame Worgen, Void Elves, Dark Irons, and Mechagnomes never had more opportunity to interact with one another. In BFA there was a tiny bit of hinted camaraderie between Dark Irons and Void Elves, but that was all. Nothing ever really came of it, sadly.
Hm, well not sure how that would work. Would we have to create a whole range of new races? And how would they be different from the ones we have? In what gameplay way would they be unique?
Why would we need to do that? Itās just a thought exercise, and the exercise limits to four races, with or without subraces.
Thatās what Im asking you as your comment isnt really clear. So what, we choose your Dark faction and then make a Human in that faction? If so, how do they different from normal humans? Is it purely story or is the gameplay different?
In the Dark Alliance faction, Worgen are the human equivalent. Theyāre literally cursed humans.
Same tbh. The faction conflict feels real awkward for dracthyr and earthen
