What’s your favorite racial and why?

Maybe one day Visage form will have a Draenei option. Best of both worlds!

Mine is that I can’t jump so no one asks me to play basketball

It’s a toss up between gobbo rocket jump since it’s extra mobility and can negate push back affects as well as fall damage or vulpera make camp which is insanely useful.

Shadowmeld… really helps when combat won’t drop on my Druid.

One time in Twin Peaks when the Horde got the flag on the right side of the map, where there are environmental cliffs. My Rogue was Kul Tiran. He sapped the EFC and Haymaker him towards the cliff among the enemy players.

It was so satisfying that I didn’t even care the enemy killed me afterwards. I just danced in celebration that it worked.

Embrace of the Loa. There’s a lot of things I really like about the Zandalari and the ability to go to Dazar’alor, pray at a Loa shrine, and receive a blessing is really cool to me. I also like that the blessings are tailored to favor certain roles - Akunda for healing, Krag’wa for tanking, the other for whatever kind of DPS you want to play.

The only downside is the 7-day cooldown.

Shadowmeld, obviously. /grin

But honestly, Pack Hobgoblin (the Goblin personal bank) is my favorite convenience racial.

As a Restoration Druid, I use Shadowmeld as an aggro dump all the time. So, this isn’t true. It’s a fantastic facsimile of Fade.

This is the reason its so strong in PVE. It doesnt enhance performance, but there are so many situations where you get stuck in combat for no obvious reasons.

Or if your a monk, you get stuck in combat for a few seconds all the time

Its essentially a tool to get around Blizz’s bad programming

It’s a tie between Haymaker—because it’s just fun—and Fireblood because it makes you a bigger dwarf and glowy red with flames. :person_shrugging:

Shadowmeld- Sometimes I don’t want to fight something, or I can’t tell what tf I’m in combat with and most of the time, this solves both issues.

Gift of the naaru- Decent heal now on a 2 min CD. The animation turns green if you have a red draenei/Eredar which is awesome!

Preternatural calm- I’m not sure why this racial isn’t discussed more. No spell push back is amazing, I especially like it on my Warlock when I want to quickly fear mobs off of her.

Huh… all Alliance racials that I like… hmmm…

Make Camp.

All of the combat ones have particular uses but unless you are min-maxing to the utmost peak efficiency they don’t really matter that much. So for me, racials will always be what they add to my character or gameplay as opposed to how they make numbers go up (or down if they are a defensive).

In regards to the best racial in the game is therefore Make Camp. Because you get to set up a camp anywhere in the entire world where you say “there are many places like these, but this one is mine.” The utility of it is unparalleled to any other racial in the game, the thematic strength of it is incredible, and the sheer cheekiness of being a smol furry fox setting up camp wherever I want is just awesome through and through.

Rocket Jump. A nice gap closer, mobility and distance creator.

Works well with many different class+specs.

Now if they made Rocket Barrage a passive that triggered on Crits every 30-to-60 seconds I’d be golden… or chrome… maybe silver.

foresaken - will of the foresaken.

my prot warrior is an undead. breaking a fear has saved many dungeon runs.

plus best dance.

Troll: berserking

free blood lust every 3 minutes

Unironically - Light forge’s anvil of light.

I love my little anvil and it comes in handy during DMF

Dwarf removing bleeds is best imo. Like nothing else can do that.

Yeah, my vote goes towards this.

My KT is a hunter, and the amount of times I’ve stealthed up on people in camouflage and punted them off cliffs, is a lot.

It never fails to make me laugh.

The whole animation of the wind-up punch is also- chef’s kiss.

Make / Return to camp.

definitely not the most useful for dps or survivability, but it’s pretty handy if i’m trying to level with Faire xp buff or similar. set down camp, hearth to org, tele to Faire grab buff return to camp and go back to questing…or whatever it was I was doing.

once I hit max lvl I like to set it outside of raids/dungeons I’m farming so I can teleport back at reset instead of having to fly out to wherever the raid actually is. pretty nice, especially for raids in no fly zones, like Throne of Thunder.

or you can just set it in hard to reach places for easy access. my hunter’s camp is currently at the top of the pipes in Undermine. you get a pretty good view of the zone from up there.

Shadowmeld, for getting out of combat.

Arcane Torrent for AoE silence - wait - WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY GOT RID OF THAT? angry sin’dorei noises

Orc/Mag’har orc: Extra damage is nice. I’m sure in the long run it doesn’t matter much but still.

Darkspear troll. He just stood there, regenerating 5 health per second . . . “And there’s nothing you can do about it,” the Troll whispered.
