We've now had some time to digest the new key leaver penalty

After having read through all of that as a 3rd party, Syporia, you’re the one trying to troll.

There needs to be far more communication about this from blizzard. I mean we can all assume a more robust report system is coming as well right for when people are being held hostage in keys and thus you will be able to see if marks on the players are warranted yes?

From the forum spam activity on this topic, I think there is still a lot of digesting going on.

Only if its done a lot. Leaving one now and then won’t count, they are after slowing down/stopping those who do it repeatedly in a short period of time. They never say how many is required to hit that number because people would use that knowledge to circumvent it. I guess someone who does hit it will know more but again I suspect that they will alternate the numbering to stop anyone getting a fixed count.

Ultimately what happens when it is put in the game we will only know at that time. Until then its all rather moot.

Gamers deserve to be in wards, but the WoW community deserves a worse fate.

Why should I not be allowed to play the game because you “don’t want to put up with crap” try helping people for free and not making a profit for once.

I love this new narrative that every Disband Vote is going to fail and that everyone who gets outvoted immediately becomes a Totally Unhinged Mythic+ Terrorist, holding entire Keys hostage until their demands are met.

You people really need to stop and listen to yourselves some time, maybe loosen up the tin foil hat a bit.

What? This make no sense

Systematic solutions for social problems tend to lead to more social problems, look at league.

Go play Counterstrike or Dota 2 for a bit and let me know how their vote to abandon systems work.

Here’s a hint: they don’t.

Counterstrike’s was so bad, even if somebody left it still took the remaining 4 to vote yes before the game was safe to leave.

Nice try but I’m AOTC 3/8m and 3k this season and you haven’t touched any of that. Also, you’re putting words in my mouth because I never said any of that, you’re just ignoring the points I’m actually making and arguing with yourself.

I’m 2.5K, three times, AOTC twice and 3K once. I got randomly asked to join some mythic raid and beat a boss in like 3 attempts without even reading up on the mechanics. These are not real achievements and does not make you special.

It’s a well-known and studied phenomenon in psychology: people will willingly cause themselves pain as long as it also causes pain to someone they hate or dislike. They feel vindicated in both parties suffering.

We see clear examples of this elsewhere in WoW—players wanting to keep things gatekept even though they’ll never obtain those things themselves. They’re just happy knowing no one else will either.

We do know the solution though, but blizzard refuses to use it because they are seemingly addicted to the idea of pushing esports onto the playerbase and community.

Remove timers, penalties for leaving the group or dungeon, no key depletion, make it scale on group size. It works perfectly fine in delves. M+ could be the same thing but with infinite scaling for the insane people who want to push themselves.

You’ll never get the badge leaving one key a month. Slacker.

With what was recently datamined on the PTR it looks like you need to be leaving a good number of keys consistently to even get the debuff. This makes me think they will tie this to some sort of auto ban system if you get the debuff often over a period of time.

Buddy, I was responding to this:

I think more people are posting in forums about this, talking all dramatic, than will actually get the debuff. Much ado about a feature that will affect almost none of us.

Then just re add panda challenge mode dungeons with extra steps.

They already ban people who leave a lot of keys though.

Never played mop. wat r those

They were like Mythic 0’s we have now but they can modify them easily.
