seriously? that’s crazy.
A lot of the posters have really good points.
Ive recently started doing viewer keys on twitch and have been having a good time. Havent seen anyone rage quit a key or left suddenly so i cant say i know what thats like but when i do pug ive seen people wipe in a +2 or +3 and the key ends up being a failure. Someone ninja logging, someone dieing and staying dead, etc. So having a debuff can be a good thing?
The dungeon deserter debuff is anothed topic entirely.
Not that crazy. It’s certainly different, but if you’re going to have a vote to end that recognizes the key is a group effort. Allowing one single person power over that group would be weird.
They should’ve taken a vote on this feature.
Im a paying subscriber. I have the right to key and the right to flee.
Of their two options, one being disabling the ability to remove people and the other being coding the system to distinguish between being removed and leaving, disabling the ability to remove seems the most expedient to me.
And they are likely to go the expedient route.
They can’t really implement a leaver punishment system and then allow group leaders to hand out leaver penalties as they see fit.
Well the keyholders vote counts for more according to current data mining.
Or everyone can ease up on their drama addictions and realize that none of this is a big deal in any way and almost all issues can be avoided … IF YOU JUST COMMUNICATE BEFORE THE RUN STARTS!
Group leaders … if you want to go to completion, put that in the title and/or description. If you’re willing to abandon a key going bad? Again, put that in the title and/or description.
Or if group leaders are not doing that … literally just spend a few seconds asking before the group starts … “Hello, just wondering if you all will vote to abandon the run if it’s going bad? Or if you’re wanting to go to completion?”
Whichever type of player you are, make the decision to stay or leave based on what the group decides … This really doesn’t have to be so dramatic … no need for name calling or flaming people for how they enjoy playing the game … Just find people that play like you and run with them.
They instead are allowing it as:
- 3 votes, or
- Key holder +1
So if the key holder wants out and only one other person says yes it’s done, and since the key holder can no longer kick someone and it only requires 3 people to say yes, they also can’t hold someone hostage unless it’s a 3 man premade including key holder.
And we should also have the right to kick someone, because I’ve been in many a dungeons in the past where I had to kick someone or we would not have progressed.
There is a ton of dungeon bosses where if one person does the mechanics wrong enough, and sometimes it doesn’t take much, then the boss will constantly wipe you.
Case in point I ran Priory today, second boss if someone runs into the orbs early and collects them all instantly, GG group wipes and if they keep doing it you will be hard stuck with a bricked key and with no way to kick them to progress, GG.
“If you don’t meet my expectations I will leave.”
“Why do people keep removing me from their groups?”
What people need to realise is, and this goes both ways, that there are certain expectations that need to be met at certain key levels.
For an M4 with a group of 630 iLVL players I 100% expect it to go sideways and maybe we can finish the run, if we have a miracle run we can even time it.
But when you get to an M12 at 670+ iLVL, which is where a lot of us run, we don’t need to ask before the key starts, because you should not be getting players who are pulling 500K DPS, there is a certain expectation of them and 500K is not it.
2 weeks before that key I wasnt even playing the game xD
I came back because my husband begged me to and I was playing another game on steam for a while.
Want him to tell you that too along with others I was playing that game with?
I wouldn’t trust players too much like Capslock or Donerick, they have a little trouble reading or understanding some things and will only trust blue posts even if they are wrong.
As I said, the first blue post over 12 months ago that said “One chance per day” was in fact, wrong. And the new blue post I linked, the one that said legacy items drop on subsequent daily attempts and only newer items are once a day is actually correct.
But when the players tried to tell you all that you can still get some items on the second+ attempt per day you all called us liars, even when we had evidence, because the first blue post being the official source said we were wrong and a “Trust me bro” source according to you is not a viable source.
But I’ll say it again before I stick you on ignore, when you have literal thousands of people all stating the exact same thing, maybe you need to think, how is it this many players across varying platforms are all ‘wrong’? Are they all in cahoots? Or is it maybe, just maybe that sometimes Blizzard will never tell us the truth and other times Blizzard is just, wrong.
I can go about this all day, there are hundreds, if not thousands of examples over the years where Blizzard are wrong, where a CS gives a BS answer, or a blue post is wrong, or some in game GM is talking backwards.
Or in some cases, like with the holiday queue stuff you find different GM and CS giving varying answers to the same question, that yeh, a ‘trust me bro’ source is many times a more reliable source considering we play the game and many staff at Blizzard don’t, we the players see things first hand, and Blizzard have for almost 21 years been notoriously secretive about giving out information about the game that I highly doubt many staff even have the answers we are asking.
Peoples poor lack of reading skills isn’t blizzards fault. Just sounds like people getting worked up for no reason like what you are doing now.
