I prefer it alone. I can take breaks whenever I want and go at my own pace. I’m not very assertive with my needs in a group.

Yeah! And with Assassination, it just seems that DoT actually brings them down faster than burst. Might just be me but I do…

Stealth > Cheap Shot > Garrote > Sinister Strike (and posion) which gets me to 4 of those circle things below the charater icon then use those 4 for a major Dot, so before the mob even knows what the hell happened, they have 3 Dots and at half their health!!
