Perfect! I love links to lore, can’t be argued, can’t be debated pure hard facts! I tend to research very hard on a subject when I take a fancy to it. I have been researching the iron horde hard for days but still haven’t found what I was looking for. Does anyone remember a Orc using a jet pack or only goblins??

Can’t block people on the new forums I just don’t bother reading through old posts in this thread most of the time–in this case I saw there was some confusion and compiled what I knew into a post with a link.

This sounds familiar, but I’m afraid I can’t place it. Nothing says other races can’t use jetpacks though.

I need a Orc! I can’t trust a goblin jet pack, it might explode, and not in a good way! What I’m trying to rationalize well for this orc is what I might call a jump pack. A short powerful burst of fire for launching a target airborn but not for hovering. I need a Grommash leap like that Warlord Cinematic for this orc, I’m only using tech because I’m much heavier then Grom is.

Given the amount of machinery the Mag’har–especially Blackrock–seem to employ, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they had their own version of a jetpack. They do have flamethrowers, and it’s not much of a stretch to imagine them modifying one of those for propulsion, or engineering one from scratch.

I think that was because of the Goblin tech and plans that Garrosh brought with him. But there’s no reason that the Orcs haven’t made their own improvements and inventions to the base designs and concepts.

With the amount of research I put in I even found out that Mag’har tech is different then goblin tech even considering that the iron star was once goblin tech. When shown in the blizzcon panels it’s states iron horde technology is rough and hand made but never whimsical or haphazard. Whimsical and haphazard being the definition of goblin tech!!

I’m sure a miniature iron star would work great for jump pack like explosions needed to launch a fully Blackrock ore armored Blackrock orc airborn!

The Blackrocks probably saw early of the dangerous nature of Goblin tech and made some much needed stabilizing improvements. Thus making their tech more reliable but rough looking. But the look probably comes from the hard to work with materials.

The reason is we put pride in our work! Drednautt clears a tear from his eye. We make the hardest and strongest of weapons for the horde, we are the best! Those goblins just wanna cut costs! Who needs brakes if your trying to break the speed record! Is it a extra cost? They won’t add it! Ours is always functional!

You scared them off! How am I supposed to hunt new heroes to turn them into unwilling slaves as doppelgänger homunculi if they run from you? I know you like to flaunt that your the tough impregnable juggernaut but these things require subtlety, things you don’t know!
