However, I am going to be heading to bed within the hour. Laundry day tomorrow and it usually wears me out. Since the kidney situation, I have dreaded washing the bedding, because putting it back in the bed is a killer.

The final surgery is July 8th, when they remove both stones, then maybe a week recovery and will be fully back to my wonderful crazy self.

“What causes Kidney Stones?”

That’s a good question. They really don’t know, but when you get them, depending on what they are made out of (Calcium, Oxalate, or Uric Acid) they can help prevent a person from getting another one. Some theories are getting dehydrated very frequent, way too much sodium, and my doctor is actually on the cutting edge of kidney research and one of his papers said he’s starting to find evidence that Zinc might be involved, but nothing conclusive. I don’t know doctor jargon from the paper, but I just read the summary.

Yep, when I was in the ER, a nurse there said she knew a doctor who has had over 40 kidney stones!!!

That’s not something you want to tell a patient currently suffering from a kidney stone!
