Currently The Notre Dame Cathedral is still burning. They feel they may have it contained now, but it still rages on. Most of the back side of the church is gone, the spire has collapsed in ward.(Thankfully it didn’t fall anywhere other than back onto the church itself.) One firefighter was reportedly seriously injured. They were able to get most of the art and relics out of the Cathedral, some were already out since they were doing some renovations on the Church.
It is quite sad to see such a historical and cultural landmark ablaze like this. I’ve been watching a live stream for a few hours now. It’s just a lot to take in.
