It’s wild that they’re not reverting the change to Salvation in the very least.
I’d like to believe that this is because they’re planning on baking the S3/4 set into our kit… But I know the real answer is more likely that they forgot they even nerfed it in the first place.
I don’t think Blizz does either, judging by today’s patch notes.
Yea it was really disappointing. I just don’t see how out of touch the people working on priest can be? And how do they get away with releasing it in these states

I haven’t see that but if they think they deserve our sub without making these changes they are the ones who can pound sand.
Another week of patch notes, another week of no changes. 
They really said “we’ll remove a talent that they said was bloat back in 10.0 and call it a day.”

Arena pvp is even more annoying in TWW as a healer. When the dampening hits during everyone’s 1 shot, it just feels awful. Way worse than live.
Nope, they’re not making any changes IMHO. No communication, no changes in patch notes…
They’re not. Oracle was such a disaster that they probably spent all their priest dev time trying to fix it without changing it, threw archon together in a few minutes like they did the whole priest class in DF beta, and didn’t even get to the drawing board on the class overall.
Based on how long it took them to remove Mindgames, we might see action on some more DF beta feedback in 3-6 months, and then hopefully we can start seeing action on 10.1 and 10.2 feedback in a year or so, and in 18-24 months we should start seeing some movement on the hero trees and we can start giving feedback on our TWW beta updates.
11.1.5 - priest rework inbound… again.
If anything Halo nerfs have to be reverted to 40s if Holy is to be competitive with other healers.
Archon is strong, but the other healer hero specs are way stronger - Hpallies got a very slight nothingburger nerf, no nerfs to Mistweaver and Rsham in sight.
Right now, I don’t have much hope for anything.
As we stand, we have a month or so for feedback. The corner stone feature Delves are still in need of tuning, M+ feels it keeps “fixed” every week, PVP is the forgotten pillar of content, maybe the raids are where they need to be. Healing and DPS numbers are all over the place, tier set bonus are still not working as intended and the professions feel phoned in, and “soon” we will have healing changes.
Maybe people might be working on priest just due to the lack of communication on each tunning pass. But right now, there are bigger problems to deal with and I feel the forgotten classes/specks will just have to wait till the expansion is ready to ship and mages get another rework.
The lack of communication is worse than the lack of updates.
Blizzard has a hard on for mages and holy paladins because they’ve been revamped 3-4 times in the last 2 years.
If we launched live right now both Disc/Holy would be 20% behind every other healer and Holy wouldn’t even be able to reset Holy Word Salvation in 5 minutes. Our hps performance will tank like a rock without the S3 tier set bonus because they nerfed Divine Image/Sanctify around it.
And revamped way better than our infinite revamps
I one hundred percent agree with you on the lack of communication.
Once we had CM a person who would be the bridge for people. They who would tell us what is going on. They could sort through the noise and give feedback from those working on things, basically HR for the communities.
But they were let go for budget cut or something. Honestly things would not feel so bad if we just got feedback. A check mark from a developer on a post on the beta just to let you know the understand there is a problem, and they will look into it would go miles for me.
I bet the people working on development right now are running around like crazy trying to get things done and have zero time to talk to anyone outside there department. And short of a Shaman style fuss that was done a few weeks ago no one will respond. I don’t blame those working on development I blame management.
There are people better at priest and healing then me and this company should communicate with these players. Hire them as consultants before they make another Oracle style mess. And move many outdated concepts out of talents and healing to the trash bin.
I am not convinced that twins PI causes all of this friction some people seem to claim anymore. I could see how it could before twins where elite groups maybe asked shadow priests to cast it on others but I have never experienced toxic behavior over PI.
When playing holy priest, I do not want self only PI. I never cast it on myself prior to twins in group play. With all of the nerfs; symbol, mass dispel, salvation, etc…nerfing PI to self only would most likely shelf my holy priest and I am not sure if I would even play disc either.

But then I most likely wouldn’t talent into PI at all if that was the case because it would be a waste.
They have to change something because Void Torrent simply cannot remain at the end of the talent tree if Voidweaver is built around it. I suspected that we would be the last to get a rework because the devs clearly didn’t know what the wanted to do with us since Legion. But now I’m worried the only thing they’ll change is the location of Void Torrent.
We can’t remain an imobile, easy to shut down Frankenstein of outdated talents that make no sense. I might just skip this expansion after my subscription runs out.
Because they nerfed it and nerfed many of the key offending spec’s reliance on it. But in doing so they also nerfed it for the priest despite that never being a problem, which is a problem in and of itself.
That nerf on PI was more than rude I agree. Made no sense to nerf the portion that buffed the priest. If anything, they should have just nerfed the buff given to the other toon.
Priest got way beaten down for sure.
I still don’t want self only for healing priests. Move twins to the spec tree or give us something amazing. But no more nerfs please.
