We're not making enough noise about layering

I still stand by that. This is not when Classic will be the most populated at all. It will be around the time of AQ and Naxxramas, and there will be no layering then. My point being why have layering now if they’re not gonna have it at the point in the game when they need it most.

Right. AQ and Naxxramas will lead to 10k-30k queues on every server. It will lead to the creation of half a dozen new servers, too.

Oh maybe I misjudged what you were saying. I thought you were trying to say that the large queues today meant I was wrong.

Anyhow, it’s obvious layering has solved nothing.
They must remove layering as soon as possible.

The worst thing is though that I fear they could easily go the opposite direction and extend layering now that they can see how much they vastly underestimated the desire for Classic WoW.

Do you have any idea how much worse this would be without layering?

@Velquez I’m curious, how exactly do you know that layering didn’t help today? Any proof on that?

In a month or two when layering is completely removed all of this arguing will have been pointless.

It is the to deal with the huge launch of a game people have wanted for over 10 years, with literally hundreds of thousands of people trying to log in at the same time.

If you have an issue with it, come back in phase 2 when It’s gone.

No thanks i want play the game in peace without congestion. “Mr sheldon cooper keep your DOUCHERY for yourself” and let the rest of the normal people enjoy the game

Layering gave me zero issues, I fail to see what all the fuss is about

just be greatful you actually got online, im happy for layering bring more layering please if we can actually get through this queue.

If I never came to the wow forums or wowhead then I would have never known layering was a thing. People were everywhere.

They dont because they have no idea how it works probably and theyre just blowing smoke. Either way they cant even back what they are saying up with facts/proof so it’s just spreading misinformation and lies.

It helped alot yesterday, glad they did it and like mentioned, all the qq will be pointless soon.

The queue times are on par with the literal 2004 launch

Idk how anyone could be against Blizzard using layering on launch. There was already a big enough pileup on every mob spawn for most of the night. Nothing would have gotten done last night if it wasn’t for layering. They have improved how layering works significantly and it is exactly what the game needs until phase 2. Blizzard has not wavered and stood strong so far promising it will be gone by phase 2.

So the doom and gloom of layering is really dumb at this point.

I’d rather play the game.

This.

Have people seen the (super cute) lines that players were forming for boss mob kills? 20-30 people waiting for their turn to kill a needed quest mob.

I played for about 2 hours yesterday. I got 3 quests done. In the starter area. Everywhere I looked were jumping, running players.

Everyone was super nice and it was great! But it started to get frustrating running around the same 15ft area for 10 mins waiting for one wolf to spawn, kill it, loot it, and no stupid paw drop so wait 10 more mins.

Blizz needs to seriously consider changing the spawn time on non-aggressive starter area mobs. 2 hours. 3 quests. It was insane.

Again, can’t imagine what it would be like without layers.

They’re already using dynamic spawn times. Mobs are popping up all over much faster than they used to when servers were less busy.

Layering is already being exploited like crazy in the game by people farming low level mats and we’re only on day 2. REMOVE LAYERING ASAP PLEASE

We need more layers! ASAP!

The fact the servers are so crammed and Classic is obviously here to stay makes me fear they will have no choice but to keep layering. The servers are horrible now with layering, iamgine when they remove it in a month.

This isn’t ephemeral hype, this is genuine interest from people who plan to play for months and years

Give it up. No one agrees with you.
