We never said they did. We’re just pointing out how unpopular Aug is when it’s not OP.

The most popular requests in no particular order are
1: Shaman tank using earth elements (maybe some ice too as ice is often seen as sturdy)
2: A tinker class which would have DPS/Heals/Tank and would function almost exactly like Brann.
3: Rework augmentation evokers into tanks using the black dragonflight for defensives, and bronze dragonflight to reverse damage.

I didn’t read any other posts in here, so it may or may not have been suggested but, I personally have wanted a Spellbreaker class in the game for awhile. Let them use shields and a 2 handed weapon in their main hand and I’d be sold. 
I don’t think they’d even need to rename it to be honest. Keep the name and let us augment ourselves into something more like that Sarkareth P3 form(probably as a cooldown), minus the void magic. Lean into that “evokers are magical genetic experiments” thing a bit, then the rest of the moment to moment gameplay flavor is augmenting the toughness of your own natural armor with earth magic. Selfcast Blistering Scales, etc.

I imagine that many people would like to see a big boofy Evoker tank.
adding a new tank doesnt fix the problem though. nobody wants to play a tank as it isnt fun for most people. they have to change tanking rather than making a new 1
If they add a new class in Midnight, you might get that new tank spec.
Ya and it has 2 ranged dps and a healer. Aka we need a new tank much more then another ranged dps.

Legion was legit like 14 years ago. The last tank was when m+ first came out m8. We litterally got 2 new ranged dps and healer.
Also just sayin compare the amount of ranged dps specs to how many tanks we have. Lets just say one has much more then the other.
It’s a fact that adding more tank specs would cause more tanks. The issue is that you only need 2 tanks for raid. They need to up that to like 5 or 6 in a 30 man. Should be one tank per 5 or 6 people.

I don’t know why we can’t have both.
We currently only have 1 class that can both tank and ranged DPS, so having a 2nd would probably be good.

Witchdoctor and Spellbreaker as new classes both a tank option would be cool as hell also if we’re going to add a fourth spec to any other class it should hands down be an earth element themed Shaman tank.
I was thinking of the same thing, a Battle Mage is what I would call it
