We're back baby!

The tuning will be adjusted. Thank god crusader strike is back and we aren’t just a plate wearing holy priest with a 3 button rotation

my friend, NO ONE wanted this lmao myself especially. If you genuinely think first of all that a streamer had anything to do with shaping the hpal rework for midnight you are very wrong. I love hpal more than anything and I am very vocal about things I think would be good for the spec. I provide feedback just like everyone else does, it’s beta that’s what it’s literally there for.

Yes I wanted some form of melee hpal back, I have been discussing for months now how the spec lacks depth rotationally and suffers from no way to control our mana, and I have said many times that I believe CS should come back as a mana generating throttle ability. That would allow us to still be somewhat tied to melee without forcing us to be in melee to heal, would provide a more fulfilling rotation than spamming judge cs spender by bringing some depth with deciding when to weave in CS for mana, and would allow us to actually play around our mana and run talents like Virtue or heavier holy light builds.

Not once did I, or anyone else I know, think it would be a good idea to port the old crusader strike straight into the new playstyle and gut the playstyle completely. This change sucks for everyone, no idea who it was for but it most certainly was not for me

If they even listened a little bit of what Ellesmere asked for, we wouldn’t have any of this. The playstyle would look more like TWW S3 than whatever this is.

Judgement and holy shock are good buttons. Crusader strike is a bad button. We nerfed our good buttons to get a bad button

Sadly, even with CM, you still dont want to press CS. Even assuming you press CS as much as you can (roughly 6-7 CPM given s1 haste numbers), thats barley an extra judgement/holy shock cast per minute you’d actually gain. Sadly we are back to hard casting more flash of lights to make up for the extra new dead globals we got. The best solution was bringing back CS without nerfing the CDs of holy shock and judgement so that those who wish to press it still could.

I know it’s so sad, blizz class devs have like 0 understanding what makes specs fun or what people enjoy or not. I assume most of these devs don’t even play the game because it’s next to impossible to believe that anyone in their right mind would have thought this was a positive change for the spec. I would love to hear their thoughts on why this was done and what is their goal?

With CS, you still have SotR yea? SotR is melee yea?

Now with CS added back, both judgement and HS are 9 sec cds. We are now objectively worse WITH CS, not to mention CS is a garbage skill with garbage dmg.

If they added CS, but left our cds how they were, I think that would make both melee and caster happy.

Im glad CS is back but it needs to do more. Restore mana, heal a nearby ally, do a lot more damage, just more interactions. This was a poorly executed change.

We were better melee healers yesterday when we didn’t have Crusader Strike.

I think bringing back CS is garbage. I know its not very min / max of me but my rotation will be the same.

Holy shock / judgment

Spenders

FoL filler.

I hope they reverse this crap. Or even better, instead of trying to smash melee and range healing into 1 tree maybe make 2 different tree/specs like priests have disc and holy.

I guess Holy Paladin is back on the menu. I was upset with we lost Crusader Strike.

I do wish they’d do more to support both a melee playstyle and a caster playstyle as I know melee isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Shine and Shield really need to be a choice node in the paladin tree. That would allieviate the issue of ret having an ability that rots in their spellbook, and it would also give something to 2-H Holy Paladins, which they appear to want to support now with the “Armory Of Light” talent.

Denounce and Searing Glare shouldn’t be relegated to PvP talents anymore. Both are pretty cool abilities and could have some uses in PvE. Well searing glare could at least. I don’t know how much preventing crits would be important to PvE, but in PvP you can just remove a fire mage from the match with denounce.

If they brought Denounce to PvE the current PvP talent would just read “Your denounce now prevents the target from dealing critical strikes”

CS is gone again lol!

Yes you did because when they removed CS they made the cooldowns of other spells shorter.

The dev team found an infinite money glitch by creating issues they can fix later. Gotta justify the payroll.
