Here’s what chat used to look like in the most popular seasons when you’d rank 1 on a conquest:
Was usually a few thousand messages because it announces your rank 1 to every player playing the game at the time and they can just click your name to message you.
Here’s that rank 1 on the leaderboard (I have a bunch of rank 1’s and some top 10 clears on GR leaderboards):
How do you know it’s me? Well, I’m on D3 right now cause I had to take that SS and you can message me from the leaderboard. Juice was Quin’s clan. Currently rank 68 on the Necro leaderboard for S28 and you’ll notice virtually every single person ahead of me is 3,000+ paragon ahead of me cause I’m sitting at 1,928 paragon.
I know how to play Diablo games. I know I’m good at them and I know that Diablo IV is an easy game and I don’t have to play it to know it.
Comparing D3 to D4 makes no sense. They’re virtually completely different games and share pretty much only the name. D4 is more in line with D2/PoE. D3 was a weird hybrid game that had infinite dodge and you could run through everything super fast like its gauntlet. Entirely different experiences.
The notion that you know what all D4 has to offer based solely on streamers doing content under their level to be super safe and playing a different game entirely is just big silly.
I didn’t say that. I said I know it’s not challenging. You said it’s the most difficult Diablo game ever. I asked, how? How is it difficult and challenging? The game is slow right now, it’s in it’s infancy so there’s no mastery in stutter stepping with insane movement/attack speed like in D3. It’s just slow and some arbitrary “difficulty” because of monster scaling in Nightmare Dungeons is exactly what D3 had.
How is it more difficult? The mechanics aren’t. The requirements to have absurdly good mouse control aren’t there. What do you mean by challenge? Anyways, I’m out as this it the WoW forum and neither of you are proving anything. I’m the only one who gave proof of anything.
The affixes are 100% harder than anything the rifts in D3 had. You’re forced to save your immunes for oh crap mechanics and like I said like 30 times but you keep ignoring, unless you’re a tank everything 1 or 2 shots you. Lunatic? 1 shot. Giant poison cloud? You got about 2 seconds to get out of it or GG. Blood boil? Better be able to switch focus cus if they pop that’s a group wipe. Bosses are def underwhelming compared to the elites, but that’s how it is in PoE too. The elites with crazy affixes attached to em are always scarier cus they can be choreographed less easily than a boss that does the same 3-4 mechanics over and over. 4 man end game content in D4 is beyond excellent. They’ve taken WoWs most popular game mode and rebuilt it into an ARPG and it’s paying off.
You’re honestly just being a sad sack tbh. You have some underlying issue going on here so any and all reason and reality doesn’t matter to your head canon.
BWL+ZG phase was more brutal. Technically they made it 2 phases but it was really just one phase, same as MC + honor phase. 6 months each of sludge. Nearly everyone full clearing day 1, 22 weeks of trivially easy content. And then followed by ZG pugs where only alts were really getting upgrades, and geared characters carrying them to fight over 2 idols smh. It felt like it was dragging on forever. If it wasn’t for covid that’s where classic woulda died.
The problem is they are developing stuff and need more time…
As long as they don’t change stuff… the could take an example from Everquest TLP and setting it for 12 week phases … that was the sweet spot on those servers
Pretty much same goes for D4. I quit WOTLK misty because of the fact the playerbase has basically become less skilled versions of retail players going turbo nerd over the easiest content in the MMORPG market. Heroic Kazzara would wipe 80% of the WOTLK Classic playerbase and he’s the first boss lmao
