I recommend beer.
Don’t worry. We all make mistakes. I made one colossal one not too long ago. I was in a bidding war on the BMAH for a mount. I meant to bid 80000 (80k) but added in an extra 0 and it went to 800000 (800k). I hate how they do not have commas.
But, it was my mistake. It was stupid, and now I double-check all my numbers. Luckily, it wasn’t too much wasted, and the mount was cool. Only used it twice since then. I am just trying to get to the 350 mount collection for the sick looking frost colored Goliath mount! DO WANT!
I bought a token and then got angry and quit, with like 40 days on my account. Lol.
There was a post a while back where someone dropped 500k on a bmah item by mistake and customer support said they had no control over it and couldn’t refund them.
Think of it this way, you now have 30k gold worth of regret. You’ll never make a mistake ever again.
Is there a fee for that? If so, how much?
My account lapsed while I had a crafted Legendary item in the auction house in Legion. I didn’t think about it because I had some RL stuff going on. When I came back 3 months later and realized it wasn’t in my bags - and I had not picked it up from the mail - I opened a ticket but got the “too bad so sad” response. That was 150k burned.
Really? That is a shame.
Theyve significantly cut down on staff and have automated most of the GM services.
Its not bad if you just keep escalating your ticket, but it takes 3-4 attempts to get an actual response.
Most people give up by then, and the GMs have declined in quality. I usually have to cite precedent in my previous tickets to prove to GMs that what I’m asking for is within policy.
For example, I accidentally leveled a character past what I wanted. A gm I contacted said he couldn’t do anything about it, but a year prior to that I had a GM revert my level. I had to link to the past ticket in order for the GM to perform the service. It took 4 tickets to get to that point, so that was 4-5 days of waiting.
I waited less than a day and the GM was polite and knowledgeable. So,
I would put in a ticket. Let them know it was Boe, you thought it was bound. And when you restored it, it was bound.
Worst thing they do is say unfortunately they cannot help.
