Well done Peeps

These forums are very pro-“alliance are all whiny babies” anyway so the responses aren’t surprising.

The truth is both factions whine. That’s okay because everyone has their own point of view.

If people are going to be coloured by a false fact that there’s one faction which is devoid of complaints/whiners it’s their own problem.

Oh I know it, that’s why I always relish when the horde finally comes here with something to whine about, like the bee. Feels good when the shoe is on the other foot.

They’re not even Mechagnomes, they’re Junkergnomes. Look at real Mechagnomes in the game, HUGE difference. These look like erector set rejects, real Mechagnomes look awesome.

I have no idea about these “unique skeletons”. Who even cares how a 3D model looks like in your 3d editor when it looks copy pasted in the live program?

Unless I’m a dev why would I care I got a unique skeleton?

That’s like telling me hey the code for Alliance was optimized now be happy and stop whining despite both factions getting the same performance.

Ok, so if you hate mechagnomes, lets swap them with Vulpera…

The racials in mechagnome are the most overpowered ever put in the game and will result in massive faction changes for progression raids.

… and Alliance still thinks they got the bad end of the stick.

I think maybe the only possible solution is to give the Alliance 4 new allied races and horde 0. That would be the only possible way for it to feel “fair”.

You’re wrong. We don’t want the Horde to be shorthanded or get something bad.

We want both of the factions to get something unique.

You got Vulpera? We wanted something unique like Sethrak. Instead we get a copypasta which is lazier than low effort twitch copypastas.

Agree that Sethrak woulda made more sense and be a TON better. However, the racials are your compensation. I’d roll any race with those racials - they are silly.

This sure wasnt the sentiment whenever the Bee mount was talked about. Most of the Alliance leaning posters were all but rubbing it in that they were getting something unique, while the Horde was getting short handed.

Of course it was. I, for one, can confirm that I was disappointed this is not a dual faction mount.

You can search my post history if you feel the need to.

I was using that statement in a more general term, not meaning you personally.

But when the Horde just got shouted down, repeatedly, over the Bee mount I feel it pushes some just to not care if the Alliance feels they aren’t getting something they deem cool this time. Especially when the Bee mount was so recent.

Its one of those “vicious cycle” things.

There are bad eggs on the Alliance and the Horde.

Are we going to keep thinking about them and shut off what we want to discuss?

Of course not we’re going to discuss what we want to discuss regardless of what they think.

Sure, but bad eggs have a history of creating more bad eggs. I find its typically easier to turn a good egg bad, than bad egg good.

Mechagnomes, to me made sense. I got the feeling the wanted to give both factions a smaller race. And I really dont remember sethrak being a large impact on either sides story.

My only real issue with the mechagnomes is that I think their mechanical limb customizations is still effecting mogging? To me thats a big negative.

But those racials, are amazing right now. And that is definitely something the Alliance has asked for. Really over all the racials for the Alliance have been great, while the Horde have been rather lacking. And for the most part I am ok with that.

Yea I agree on the other stuff. I don’t agree on the mechagnomes making sense to be given to the alliance because I’ve disliked the concept of these “Allied” races ever since both the Horde and Alliance were shafted by giving them tattoos and horns and calling them “Races”.

Yeah I’m pissed that they even pushed it as something called “Races”.

I mean, yeah. ARs are mostly low effort. But I think that is the entire point.

They can give each side 1 high effort race. Or give each side 5…6…7 low effort options that occasionally look really cool. Dark Iron Dwarves are easily my favorite, aesthetically.

I liked ARs happening once. But I would prefer going a different route after BFA.

I feel like asking for reasonable things would yield results?

I don’t really see the alliance wanting anything aside from Vrykrul (too tall) and High elves (told no multiple times).

Maybe if you asked for things like sethrak or arrakoa or mogu or anything really besides “another humanoid race” you could get something?

But it was pretty clear from datamining that vulpera were planned even before people asked for them. Way too much customization assets.

At least Dark Iron, Vulpera, Nightborne look worthy enough to be called as Allied Races. I could throw in Zandalari.

I’m going to be laughing hard if they give us a “pre expansion bonus” of another copypasta race which you have to “earn to unlock”.

I think the next expansion will be more class themed. I think they know they are wearing out their welcome with ARs right now, just from sheer amount/unlocking requirements.

By class themed I mean either a new class, something done to our classes. Just not race based.

We will never understand how World of Warcraft went from “successful class themed fancy stuff” to “Netherlight Crucible MK 2 a.k.a the Azerite System” and “Oh hey fellas how about some filler faction war just because we think it’s so cool?”

Eh. If they keep it up with adding more races down the line, eventually they’ll land on something you like. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed from the start. AR would be a lot better to me if we were assured that the core races would still get new customization options down the line, but right now it feels like they’re being used as a replacement for that. A lot of the Allied Races right now would work a lot better if they were just mixed with one of the core races, even if they were still locked behind a grind.

Lightforged customization is really limited on its own, but I would love to use some of those horn and hair styles for my regular draenei without being forced to have yellow eyes. :woman_shrugging:
