If they announced a TBC Era, I’d start leveling there in a heartbeat.

If they announced a WotLK Era, I might play there eventually. Maybe.

A fast-track TBC that goes into a fast-track WotLK holds very little appeal for me.

I’m happy for other players to get what they want, but I’m not interested in another temporary TBC. I don’t want to boost through and skip through everything and then throw it all away (again) in a year. I want to savor it and enjoy it, even if the population is low. To me, that’s what “respecting my time” and “quality of life” means.

I really wish they would just come out and announce if TBC will become an ERA server so i know if i wanna put in time for a character or not. Having my characters shoved into an expansion i had no interest in last time was like watching hours of my time being flushed down the toilet not doing that again. I know they are not gonna announce anything to keep people subscribed.

Why would you think they would ever make a BC era server?

I mean BC is good enough to go through again but not enough to have a permanent home in. It’s widely believed that the trilogy of Vanilla→TBC→Wrath is the “classic” holy trinity.

tbc era already passed in 2020 and has become mop classic. vanilla era is staying vanilla era

I don’t understand why anybody would want to stay inside some version of WoW that never progresses or changes.

That sounds terrible.

Wrath era would probably be my home longer than any other version of wow.

Every single class and spec is fun in some part of the game.

The arena scene would suck being an era server, so lets bring in a tournament server with it that rotates through the seasons with the option to xfer off at the end

warmane solves this by having a permanent tournament realm that connects into the live realm/shares a ladder where if you’re serious about pvp, you can get an instant 80 with full s7 bis gear

you improve upon this by giving full s8 bis instead, that way if you only care about pvp you just play on the tournament realm, if you want to do more than that you have the pve server where you can raid and casually pvp if you desire

if the objection is staying stuck on s8, then yeah you can do what you said and just have a cluster of progressive servers that then gets merged into the era when it’s over

Theres a reason its been around so long and so popular.
The fresh server every x months/years that transfers to the perma server at the end is a really good system

they do this they’ll just print money forever and kill warmane, 2 birds with 1 stone

i know at least a dozen high level pvpers that would literally play on this forever

you can even go crazy and make some minor class adjustments like nerfing sacred cleansing and UA and such

I wouldn’t really do it but I know its a popular thing to have arena specific realms.
Also they should have a special title or buff similar to the HC ones for killing HLK without the buff turned on
