It’s weird to me that they’re choosing a permanent Wrath server instead of just doing a repeated fresh server. I think that would be way more fun than another permanent server.

When Anniversary servers were made it was stated it would be 1 year vanilla, 1 year tbc, 1 year wrath. Was everyone on drugs during that?

Not really.
That Arthas thing is probably just to hype Wrath fans and get them to stay subbed thru TBC.
Still believe it is possible that there could be a TBC Era waiting in the wings. As well as one for Wrath.

Honestly, they should have 1 Era of each. That way they can forever cycle the Top 3 and the people who love a specific version can have a home and keep the community alive.

I think your logic is more of a dream. To me the next “logical” step would be WoTLK. It had way more hype from what I remember, way more money for blizz in the form of paid services that become available through faction and race changes (so I’m sure Blizz was excited).
I’m not against you getting your permanent server, but I think Blizzard knows there isn’t a big enough community that wants Perma TBC. Era has always been popular, vanilla has way more playability VS TBC, just the sad truth.
The forums are the ONLY place I hear people talking about Perma TBC. Not saying people don’t want it (obviously there are at least a few), but in my circles, and on discord, I don’t hear anyone asking for it.
