“we heard you guys wanted another MDI!!!”
can I just get more transmog options?
Did I just hear you call for an MDI inside an MDI?
I mean some of us really enjoy this content. Its an MMO. There are a ton of different types of people who play and we all have plenty of room to enjoy the game in the way we want to. Thats really unfair for you to say, essentially, “this doesnt appeal to me specifically, so it shouldnt exist.”
yeah the lack of payment is really sus and vaguely criminal. this is a bigger problem in the esports community as a whole. pro gamers have been taken advantage of for a long time
Cash for not even leaving your house isnt really that insulting.
That cash requires players to spend their time in a more organized manner either taking days off their job or college or school in order to win.
This isn’t your friend’s local tournament. It’s competitive official tournament.
It’s ridiculous that it’s low.
I don’t want this.
How about you spend that $20,000 to hire an artist to make the hairstyles you promised?
The only people I know who watch MDI are people who are afraid of running mythic dungeons. I think they are afraid because they watch MDI more than running them.
There’s a lot they could do to “address the issues” right now, starting with substantially increasing anima drops and de-nerfing loot drop rates.
Hell, they could even bring back Titanforging with the push of a button, then sit back and be amused at how upset Asmongold gets about it
This sounds so cool keep it up blizzard
Raid loot has already been denerfed.
But yeah, I’ve said before I think increasing anima drops would be great. They’re not bottle-necked by $$$ on that front though.
Meanwhile Bobby with $200 million in a second yacht
I’m not sure who you think you’re responding to when you say
I think the amount of work it will have taken to pull this off is far disproportionate to any positive effects it will have on the actual playerbase.
You can’t seem to understand your own arguments. You already said that this was a way to “stem the bleeding” of players leaving. I see you’re avoiding answering my question, which was, how many of what sort of players will this provide enough content for to make a difference, since the only people it will affect are a few top MDI competitors, not even a drop in the ocean.
Are you Metrohaha"s alt? You sure sound like it.
The number of drops may have been, but - anecdotally at least - the actual drop rates haven’t been at all. And everyone who’s done the world bosses since launch and gotten one piece of loot (if they’re lucky) knows what I’m talking about there.
Those were just examples though. There’s so much that Blizzard could do to make the game as it stands more enjoyable without the need for a patch. Like reducing the ludicrous costs of the covenant upgrades, or making covenant upgrade progress account-wide.
I did a great push this morning, usually a cup of coffee is what does it. Guess they both look the same as this post at this point.
The easiest thing they could do right now to give players something to do would be to revert changes to old content. But that would require them to actually accept that what’s happening is in some way due to decisions they made. That would buy them a little time among some demographics, and others would be kept busy indefinitely.
What else would you suppose the esports team should be doing in the meanwhile instead? They aren’t code monkeys. You don’t get extra dev hours in by canceling this event. That’s not how it works.
Okay. They could do those things. They are CHOOSING not to do them for whatever reason. Throwing more money at Ion won’t make him change his mind most likely.
