They literally lined them up with the Haranir allied races… they look devilishly good, I’d faction change instantly… yall think they’ll be playable?

I’d say it’s highly likely that we’ll get them in either a patch or in The Last Titan, same way the Harranir looked very much like an allied race in TWW and now we’re getting them in Midnight.
While I REALLY hope that we get Broken, I fear that we never will. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Alliance gets High Elves while the Horde gets Amani.
Then again, both factions getting Amani isn’t entirely out of the question, either. I mean, before TWW, the idea of Horde Dwarves sounded absolutely insane. So Alliance Trolls might be in a similar boat.

I want to hope, my friend, but I don’t think we will be getting them as an allied race. If they didn’t intend to do it from the start, then I doubt they’ll drop everything to make them now. On the off chance that it was always their intention, then they are stupid as all hell for holding the info back.

I disagree with the former on a more in-universe or w.e level at the unfortunate risk of sounding like ‘um ackctucally’. The Earthen were sold to us as an entirely new thing, separate and individual from everything we’ve encountered before, and even then, it’s framed as only individuals to my understanding, not even full-fledged organizations like the Dracthyr. The Amani have a consistent history, one that’s pre-established. They have good reason to dislike both factions, but they have in the past only ever joined the Horde. Not to mention, realistically speaking, the Amani Tribe allying itself with the faction that has the Trollbane family as among its highest leaders would be strange.
On pure concept alone, Horde Dwarves, or dwarf-shaped beings is/was nonsensical before TWW, which I do agree with, but I imagine the Haranir will fill the ‘Alliance Trolls’ role for the Alliance.

I’m hoping that the Amani join the Horde too, but we’ll see. There’s a lot of anti-amani hatred among the blood elves, but then again the Zandalari are already part of the Horde. I’m not really sure what the Alliance could get based on the current storyline that would balance out amani for the Horde, though. I think Broken is a pretty good pick, since they’re presumably going to be part of the Army of Light.

Man… I remember way back in Vanilla, when TBC was being announced and only Blood Elves had been confirmed so far, leaks were saying Alliance were getting Draenei, and everyone was like “Makes sense, the Horde geta one pretty race and the Alliance gets one monstrous ugly race” because at the time the only Draenei in Warcraft lore were the Broken.
Then leaked screenshots of untextured dev builds and gameplay came out showing the Alliance race, what we now know is a male Draenei. But back then, all we had to go off was that they looked a lot like Archimonde, and everyone were shocked because why the hell were the Eredar joining the Alliance? Why was a demonic race of the Burning Legion now playable?
Then Blizzard announced the Draenei. Confusion everywhere. Turned out Metzen had forgotten his own lore, did an uno-reverso on the Sargeras / Eredar plot, and rewrote Draenei entirely.

Considering their equivalency to the amani in wc2 it would be pretty cool. But nah. I don’t think they’ll ever budge on that.

Even if I see them more in TLT as neutral race, I will be so happy to get Mogu for the Alliance and Forest Trolls for the Horde in the same expansion. But Broken / Krokul will make me happy too. 
Mogu is the race I want the most as playable race.
With Mogu being the first, Broken and Forest Trolls are in my top 5 of the races I want the most as playable. 
Haranir were the second one after Mogu so I’m very happy get get them in Midnight.

I 100% think they’ll be playable and that’s probably why they share so much DNA with the Orc skeletons.
I have a theory Blizz is behind 1 expansion in terms of adding new races, Haranir were probably intended for TWW and then the new Troll models were probably intended for midnight but player housing seems to be a massive undertaking (rightfully so).
Hoping the Trolls become available sometime during a Midnight patch!
