One of the ways that our community does this is by being extremely helpful for new/returning people. We answer questions, we address emotional concerns, all of it.
I would love to hear, on a broader scale, what questions you might have as a new/returning player. Or if you are a current player and are wondering something or struggling with something we want to help. So ask away!

Best of luck with your endeavor. Sadly, not too many newcomers with questions make it here to the forums, and by the time they do, it is often too late for them.
There are lots of ways to play this game. There are many activities and ingredients to choose your mix from. You don’t really start to see them or understand them until you reach max level. And then, they hit you like a ton of bricks. There is so much you CAN do, and almost nothing you HAVE to do. And for a while after reaching max level you are walking around confused, not understanding, not knowing what you like, not knowing what you should do.
Then you get your bearings, and it all starts to make sense.
But until that time., the whole game can feel like a maze, and a maze that can be INFURIATING beyond words. Sometimes it’s because you have misunderstood something; you assumed one thing when it was actually another. Sometimes it was because you missed something. And sometimes it’s the game’s fault - a bug, or bad phasing, or you did quests “out of order”. Blecch!
So newcomers get themselves worked up trying to make sense of whatever situation they are in, where they can’t make progress. Then, finally, they find the forums. But they are already so mad that they can’t address the problem coolly. It is usually not obvious from their description what the problem is, because they don’t know what factors may be important to explain.
And they just go away.
Sometimes I go back to such problems I have tried to answer, and I see that the newcomer has just not done anything since. And it really makes me sad. If you have broken through to the level of the game where you understand what’s what, and decide to play something else instead, that’s fair enough. But I am sad when I see someone lose the opportunity because of a problem that could have been resolved with a little patience and understanding.
