I hate when people hit on my characters
I actually had a pretty weird exchange with someone who did this to me. I was on one of my human paladins who was female at the time. It went something like this:
Person: Hey cutie
Me: I’m a guy irl
Person: Well I’m a girl
Me: I’m gay
Person: So am I
Me: Alright then
Person: Alright
One of my more memorable instances was when I was hanging out with a guild mate and a friend of his. This was Vanilla and we went exploring. I think it was somewhere in Dun Morogh because I remember the airport and we had jumped our way up there.
My guild mate lead us to a tunnel that eventually opened up to a large open area that wasn’t fully rendered. No ground or anything. The three of us got as close to the edge as possible but not long after I made the mistake of clicking auto run. My guild mate went “Oh no!” and he jumped after me with his friend following. I don’t remember how long we fell for, but it lasted a good deal of time. The weird part arrived when we noticed the chat channels kept changing. We were falling through different zones. It took a while but we eventually died, although we never did hit any visible ground. I don’t remember where my character spawned once I finally got him back. lol
Back in TBC I got a letter one day from someone with a gibberish name saying something along the lines of “carrots fish rice good for the eyes” and nothing else. Had no idea what to make of it, but I kept the letter and still have it in some alts bank.
got into a pretty bad pug group with 2 people and me and 2 other friends. we got to last boss and my friend who is the healer tells the tank to dodge the big tentacles as he keeps getting 1 shotted by them. my friend was pissed at this time i mean we probably wiped at least 10 times during the dungeon by now and on the last boss maybe another 10 times. next run my friend gets the tentacle and gets 1 shotted by it causing a wipe. tank tells him exactly what he told the tank. we were all just laughing at him it made him even more pissed.
whats weird about it is despite how many times we wiped i believe this was only a heroic maybe a mythic dungeon not too hard just mechanics were an issue and it was beginning of the expac so not as geared. we managed to down the content without anyone quitting or getting salty where it would affect the group.
it’s not like usual where people will argue, leave/vote kick. to me this is more mature and better especially for not so skilled players to learn and dip their toes into content they may not do because of how others may treat them.
A very long time ago, before BC, I was on my Druid, doing some open world PvP. A mage launched a frost bolt at me while I was hearthing. After I appeared in Ironforge, I heard this noise, so I looked around. I will never forget what I saw; a frost bolt way off in the distance (beyond the limits of ironforge), was closing in on me. I had no choice but to stand there and take it.
Another time, I was on my first warlock in hillsbrad. My son was in the room and curious what the scary lady at my side was for. So I sent her off to attack a bear, yelling, “go, go Ellerida”. Then… they did this constant repositioning dance, moving off onto the distance until they both despawned. I just sat there and said “when I said go, I didn’t mean it like that!”
During Wrath my mom and I were doing RBG’s and at the time elemental shamans were OP. We just kept getting destroyed my this one Shaman over and over again… So after our pitiful loss we were standing in Orgrimmar. I started complaining about how I disliked shamans and how they all just need to die (yes, I was being a drama queen, this was a long time ago and I have matured slightly since then) then suddenly SPLAT!! A shaman fell from the sky and lay there dead in front of us…
My mom and I roared with laughter. I did try to resurrect her but she didn’t take it. I will say, I found it so incredibly weird that at that moment, while I was complaining, some idiot dismounts and/or falls from the highest hut in Orgrimmar and died right in front if us. One of my favorite moments though.
The Gymer (sic?) quest in Wrath was bugged and you could one shot players with him, while phased. Spent the better part of the day invisibly killing alliance until I got bored.
It was pretty crazy I was in WSG I think it was during TBc time I was running the flag on my prot pally
I was going down the tunnel in the alliance base all of a sudden the game glitched out it was like I was falling through the world and I thought to myself once the straightens out I’m gonna be a dead paladin
Like you see in this video Bgs back then got real intense and crazy things happened
But you just have to roll with it in the end the glitch worked itself out and everybody on horde side was cheering they had no idea how I survived but I was still holding that flag and they they escorted me through mid it was a good feeling but weird
Back in Cataclysm, I had a really crappy computer, and if I left it on all day, by that night the game’s visuals would start to become incredibly glitched out, certain things like raid bosses, etc. would be invisible to me or just look really weird (it’s hard to explain in detail because it was so long ago), and idk what happened exactly but it was like my graphics card was having a meltdown, except it was always completely fixed whenever I rebooted my computer. When I described this to others at the time, everyone indicated that they’d never seen that type of problem before and didn’t know what could be causing it
I can’t remember the specific circumstance, but I was cheated out of loot when personal loot was first enforced. Some bug stopped me from earning on the last boss of a raid, and I was pissed. I created a ticket, and the response was simply “Well, I guess you’ll have to wait until next week”.
Years ago, my game was bugging out while it was still downloading assets;
Back on my crappy laptop (either during late pandaria or mid/early draenor), I took a fp somewhere in Northern Stranglethorn. As I was flying through, there was nothing around for miles, no trees, no nothing, just the low rez terrain. It was one of the most ugliest things I have ever seen in my time in WoW lmao. It was literally like a ghost town/zone at that point.
Mid pandaria, I took a fp for my worgen druid to Azuremyst Isle, game was bugging out super hard when I zoned in to the point of me being able to take control of the hippogryph for the time being. It was too slow to even really do any kind of exploring to be fair.
The weirdest thing that ever happened to me was, while getting on my mount on my Pally in bastion, for some inexplicable reason, i was teleported to dalaran.
