Weird image retention after maintenance

So I logged into today and I can black outlines of various things almost like an image burn in or image retention, after standing still for about 5 seconds it goes away. Anyone else having this problem?

Same, the shadows periodically freeze and stay with the camera as you move/look around, looks like a burned in image.

yup, another massive blizz fail :expressionless:

I seem to have resolved this using the /console gxrestart command.

that only worked temporarily for me :expressionless:

It just came back for me too, disregard my last post.

I Believe what is happening is “Monitor Artifacting”. Seems to be an issue with Blizz if this is effecting so many people.

I just wanted to chime in and say same, I got weird shadow burning happening as well.

this happened to me as well, I found a way to disable it by changing the Image Based Techniques away from The Cacao.

same issue. seems to not happen on directx12

Same. RTX4070 and no issues

don’t be a jerk. I know it’s hard.

turning your shadows to Low seems to fix the problem :expressionless: now i gotta play with crappy shadows though. ugh
I am very much used to very high shadow quality, thank you

Change Ambient Occlusion from Auto Detect to something else like FidelityFX

Change Directx11 to Directx 12 that fixed it for me.

also i have a 4090, max settings on every game. WoW is the only game that gives me issues after updates.

Changing the ambient occlusion from FidelityFX to ASSAO fixed mine with no other changes on a 4070

The FidelityFX issue seems to have been fixed with patch…
