Exactly, their focus is so narrow. It’s just gear progression and that’s about it for them. That’s fine for them as it’s there. That stuff is always there. The rpg in the game is what has really been stripped out since BfA.
You’re describing a situation similar to WoD. It’s no wonder I sometimes see this expansion called WoD 2.0. Maybe they will have a patch for TikTok integration?
Pros:
*micro level stories during questing were well done. Especially the dwarf in waking shores.
*lots and of small progression steps make it feel like I’m constantly achieving something when I log in
*Ilvl scaling off repeating rare spawns, tons of events, renown farms, crafting with sparks, primal storms all have made gearing up to an LFR level pretty seamless.
*new dungeons are always a breath of fresh air.
*I love the new gear sets for leather and plate.
Cons:
*m+ scaling seems wonky and my groups are getting randomly stonewalled if they can’t figure out mechanics at key levels where that shouldn’t be happening.
*crafting walls are suuuuupee annoying. I wish I could just wholly focus on leveling crafting and gathering in my off time. As it is, with the time gates there is no reason for me to push forward skinning after a certain point.
*class balance doesn’t feel like it’s in a great spot in m+
*pvp balance is off, like usual, for first tier. (Rogues killing people in single stun windows).
I like it but I’ve been taking things super slow, not even at level cap yet. I wasn’t able to play at launch so I’m behind the curve anyway, may as well take in the scenery.
I like this. As someone who is so busy all the time, it’s nice to not have to log on daily. And if I end up with more time, I can just level alts since it’s so alt friendly!
i still only have one 70
right now i am just collecting dragon customizations and slowly working on rep. its fine. relaxed.
There more to DF than just that, or is that all you wish to play? Just curious.
But all the content has already been released, for Season 1. Unless you mean you’re waiting the full 18mos for all content updates – in which case, why are you still subbed now?
None of that is what I want to play. I mainly enjoy daily quest hubs that change and progress as you complete quests and rep. If you have suggestions on things I don’t know about, I’m more than happy for you to let me know.
I will add that rare camping and collectible hunting is something that I do when I run into them while out doing other things, but I consider it side bonus activities and not a focus.
Examples of content I like and will put a lot of hours in to beyond quest hubs mentioned above are class order halls, covenants, even the BfA war campaign. I don’t see features like this in DF. Edited to add actual daily quests.
I’m also an altaholic. Class halls and covenants for example gave me new content to play through and explore on new characters. DF renown unlocks the same things on each of my alts. I’m just starting the exact same grind and campaigns at zero again.
Angry that real life is preventing me from playing. As stands I have Kakita here at 63 and my other toons at 66, 68 and 61, with the other two still at 60. Just real life things taking all the time so that I haven’t sat down at my PC in about a week.
Hopefully that changes here.
I just wanted to see if you’d say what others don’t. It’s simple, the content is there, you just don’t want to do it. That’s valid, this expansion i’ve found myself doing things i don’t normally interact with like PVP and even pet battles that I’ve ignored since their launch. Giving content you don’t normally do a try can be fun if you want it to be.
To be fair, covenants and war campaign didn’t do much either, I mean outside of maybe doing a broken mission table (bfa and sl were pretty busted) Renown is taken right from covenants though so couldn’t you just collect those armor sets like for example i play hunter I collected the mail sets, but I still need to go back on cloth leather and plate to collect those sets as well right? That’s repeatable content, pretty much lifted from covenants. If we talk about coven upgrades - those were pretty useless, and soul binds were just borrowed power that we should all be glad is gone. (it chapped my a$$ every time i’d get a soulbind instead of actual gear in raids/dungeons. not sure if other relate though)
I mean the whole season 1 which means all LFR unlocked then I’ll make a decision of which content and I am in no rush of gearing and stuff.
Yes actually. Very much correct.
uhhhh what? Or yanno, we like end game content because its yanno… Challenging and fun to play with friends?
Sorry apparently im unable to meet to insane challenge put upon us via world quests and pet battles… so i settle for something much easier like KSH and raiding.
My apologies for treating a massive multiplayer online game as an MMO. My b.
You’re funny. ![]()
I am spending most of my time in older zones - especially Pandaland for my toons that never got their little farms.

I’m glad I didn’t buy the 6 months (of god forbid one year) sub.
I like it so far. It’s a more laid-back expac, which is a nice change. It’s a happier ingame environment, hardly any doom and gloom settings and that’s a really nice change.
Lots of stuff to do, professions are interesting. Everything is, I don’t mind the rep/renown grind either.
Best expansion ever. That’s my opinion.
The expansion is okay. If it weren’t for keys and raids there really isn’t much to do
