This came to me while doing Brewfest in Ironforge. I think one of the reasons I love that event so much is because it gives me a reason to just hang out in Dun Morogh, where I almost never go otherwise. Now that the Alliance has Gilneas back, why not have that same experience for Hallow’s End? Gilneans have been the center of Hallows End in Stormwind for a long time now, which makes sense as an actual Halloween themed community, so why not expand the event a little more in Gilneas city?
is Gilneas even a full proper city yet? I thought it was still just a bunch of unnamed npcs walking around
Doesn’t matter really what functions the city has this would be fun either way but yeah it’s pretty sparse right now which is why it’d be cool to have any reason to go there
I think so. I recall at blizzcon they said plans are in the works to update quel’thalas, I can’t remember if they said gilneas too. Speculation is it will happen in Midnight since it sounds more logical that an expansion called midnight might have something to do with the SUNwell
not just plans to update. its gonna be the entire next expansion.
Gilneas being the staging grounds for Hallow’s End would be so cool! Too bad Blizzard doesn’t do cool so it probably won’t happen.
While I dont have much faith in Blizz regarding their handling of Gilneas, and the Reclaimation questline… I would love for them to add more NPCs (AH, Flight Point, etc.) that would make visiting the area worth it again.
I know there’s a boat to/from Bel’ameth and back, but there’s no portal–Not everyone plays a Worgen, so they’d be missing out on another way to get there if they can’t use the Peacebloom hearth. There is certainly more room in the Wizard’s Sanctum now, considering the added Amirdrassil and Dornogal ones…
Would definitely be interested in having another city Hub thriving, besides from Stormwind. More options, please!
Just need a flight master and portal and it’ll be great to see Gilneas as a city in general.
I am so down for Gilneas to be rebuilt, it has potential to have atmosphere as powerful as Boralus. I really wish Blizz made updates to all the capitals brings them to the modern designs. Going to Silvermoon nowadays feels like playing a whole different game
