I have a lot of weakauras. I pruned a lot but I used to get errors. I was in a key and got the “you have too many LUA errors” dialog and accidentally clicked the “disable all addons” button instead of closing the dialog and poof, I was addon-less only a couple of minutes into the key. I didn’t want to make people wait since the timer and all so I kept playing and did my best.
At the end of the key I apologized and told them what happened and one of them said something like “what are you talking about? you were top dps”
The whole idea that addons play the game for people is completely overblown.
