i quit raiding in BFA because the raid scene… was just done. blizz are in a very very weird place where they * seem * to want it to be appealing to watch the top dogs duke it out. but when you get to it and you have mechanics like on M-Sludgefist or M-Argus as prime examples, its not that fun to actually play with.
the covenant rewards are too low by the time you actually unlock them, and you already outgear what you unlock.
world quests everyone outgeared before they even got there first upgrade and now they are completely pointless.
pvp unless your pushing rating, you come to a grinding halt @ 200 iLv which is just above LFR.
LFR is a trashfire, and ill leave it at that.
M+ isnt even rewarding anymore. the iLv of the drops despite growing your keys up to the point of it being harder than mythic raids, arnt even worth the equivalent effort. not to mention the neutering of the drop amounts as well. my worst patch of no drops was 13 dungeons with not a single drop. let alone getting a repeat of something i already have but worse.
it seems like all roads lead to the great vault in this xpack because the lack of quality or control over your gear. and even ive had consecutive weeks running in a row of the EXACT same gear coming up repeatedly with the same iLv. this shouldnt even be in the realm of possibility. you can go through 6+ hours of raiding and 4-10 hours of M+ and get the exact same options you got the week prior.
then on top of that none of the buildings in the covenants reward anything worthwhile. the anime required is honestly disgusting levels for the acquisition rate. the 35 anime GTFO rewards are honestly an insult. torghast rewards nothing and wont even be worth running once you get your BIS legendary to max and then cap your soul ash ready to go for next season for its inevitable 2 extra upgrades of regrinding what you already have.
its hilarious how the jailer is taking all of the anima and souls from the other shadowlands zones and yet not a single drop of anima is gained from the maw or torghast. that one is baffling.
atm nothing feels good to be doing this xpack. i log in to try to do things for RNG things to maybe happen. or im doing things for… i dont know why reasons for nothing rewards i can go and farm myself in 5 mins, but have to wait 3-7 days to earn. nothing feels good this xpack. im glad the pvp vendors are back, but im a little disappointed its also tied to rated pvp. my friends list is evaporating faster than anima in the other zones.
all of the reward structures in shadowlands feels terrible to play with.
