Do we though? Toons created this late are clearly just alts and will never be competitive PVE/P-wise now anyway

And they can wait 2 weeks before pre patch for everything to be maxed out like artifact was
But at the end of the day if they didn’t put effort then, they won’t have the results good enough at the end
Yeah I need another competitive mage to queue with a friend so, kinda of dumb i have to tank CR every week with to play with my irl friends.

Repeat thread, still sort of agree. What’s the point in catching up now, though? Just wait until SL where you get a green level 55 quest item that has double the stats of our legendary.

So I can play the next 4 months with my friend and try to get him glad, while I push higher ranks on my main. It really shouldn’t be that hard to fix, just make each full clear vision drop a malefic core.

You wanna
- grind your neck back to 85+
- grind thousands of echoes for essences
- grind thousands of echoes for corruption
- run tons of M14/15s for 465s or Mythic raid for 475s
- Acquire azerite through TR/raid
- Get all the Cloak quest upgrades

1-5 is no problem, 6 is time gated as hell.

It wasn’t if you were playing that toon at all. A single assault a week gave you enough currency for the single vision a week you needed
Yeah but that’s the thing, I didn’t need two characters until now cause he didn’t play the game, now he is playing and I can’t really play with him cause i tank down to 2200 after every queue session. There is no reason to gate this behind 20 weeks to play pvp competitively…
2-3 in warmode cus warmode benefits, to get 470 gear in visions in case mythic+ doesn’t drop for you this week
Idk. You’re basically smurfing anyway. If you’re like 5000 rating on your main, a 1000 rating player stands no chance against your alt anyway. Might as well play on your main
You don’t see high rated OW players complaining when they queue competitive with their low rated friends
Never in my life have I seen someone on the forums defend a 20 week timegate on a character. First for everything I suppose.

If the Malefic cores required anything remotely skilfull to be earned i wouldn’t care that some people were ahead but its just a freaking participation trophy.
Do you need a stat advantage that badly to keep your raiding spot and be competitive?
This wouldnt be a fresh toon lol I plan on gearing it out hard… If I put in the time I should be caught up in 4-5 weeks, not 20.
That’s what happens when a toon is geared out near the end of the expac
But they have to rant all because they decided to play alts
They should have realized alts needed to get up to speed just like their mains day one
I’m suppose to know my friend is coming back to wow ahead of time and should’ve planned 5 months ago to start grinding malefic cores. Gotcha, yeah that makes sense.

I personally don’t think they should cater to alts but they should have more content available to consume your time on your main in return. I mean they already cater enough to your main, as others have said leveling this late into an expac doesn’t really matter anyway. Unless you’re mythic raiding having a higher resistance won’t matter if any cause norm/heroic content is already faceroll as is, just as well having another 5% from 1 player out of a raid won’t affect the outcome.
