"We Need Weapons" Quest Bugged

In Legion Remix -

During the “We Need Weapons” quest, part of the Insurrection questline in Raven Court cannot place the west telemancy beacon because the beacon and weapon crates phase out when I approach and says “invalid target” - might be because of bonus and world quest objectives in the same area - completed both with no change.

It’s happening to me as well. Only the beacon doesn’t show up at all. Just the marker on the map that it’s there. I’m so frustrated!!!:weary_face:

I could figure out how to edit my last post. Anyways, if you figure out any ways around this bug please update!!

For me, the phasing issue was caused by having the healing spec artifact quest active. Once I abandoned it I was able to set the last beacon.

This is exactly what fixed it for me. There is a healing spec quest you get from violet citadel in dalaran I think and abandoning that quest fixed the bug for this beacon quest. Thanks

Can confirm as well, on a druid. Abandoned the Resto artifact quest and no longer was phasing right as I ran to click on the beacon. So weird.

Did you guys find another fix? I dont have the healing spec quest, and it’s still bugged

I found this! And it worked. Looks like I was just not realizing the quest chain. Leaving here for anyone else needing this, it was By Beebergack (830 – 4·9) on 2018/02/25 (Patch 7.3.5)

If you have the problem/bug where the third (southernmost) beacon fades out when you approach it, don’t reinstall your game, mess with your folders, drop and reacquire the quest, etc. – you need to complete this quest chain totally:

Shadowsong’s Return/shadowsongs-return

Note that the full list of quests is NOT here, but you’re close to done when you’re on “Shadowsong’s Return.” You kill some undead near Bradensbrook, then go to Black Rook Hold, free some ghostly heroes from their curse, and fight and kill a named demon. Then you’re sent back to the mage in Dalaran, Archmage Modera, and complete a very short event during which they “upgrade” your weapon.

Once that is done, you can complete the “We Need Weapons” quest immediately. You don’t need to drop it and pick it up again or anything – all of the teleport beacons become clickable, and the southern one no longer fades out.

And just in case, here is the quest chain:

  2. Aid on the Front Lines

  3. Quieting the Spirits

  4. Shadowsong’s Return

  5. Cutting off the Heads

  6. Source of the Corruption

  7. The Matter Resolved… For Now…
